Song for this chapter- Last Flowers Till The Hospital by Radiohead

"Clara, it's time to take your medication." My nurse ,Sandy, came in to tell me.

"Just set it on the table as usual." I said looking out the window.

"You know you really shouldn't stare at the sun, it will make you go blind." Sandy said.

"Being blind would be wonderful, I wouldn't be tortured by being shut up in these cemented walls only having a window to look out of. You don't understand I see all of this beautiful nature and all I wanna do is run and play out in the sunshine. But I can't because I'm locked in this hellhole." I stated simply.

"You know the rules, Clara. No patients in your condition are allowed outside." Sandy said for the 5th time this week.

"Yes of course I know the rules, but I'm not crazy." I said starting to get irritated.

"I know you're not, no one here is crazy. They just have some issues that need to be medically treated." Sandy said as she walked out of my cell room.

I threw myself on the bed and huffed. Why is this happening to me? I'm telling the truth.

*FLASHBACK*

"No really Ashley! I saw him!." I exclaimed.

"Saw who?"

"The shadow. He was at my window last night again." I said

"Sure you did. Clara your imagination is really getting out of hand. Does your mom know?" She asked nosily.

"What do you mean does she know? Of course she does. I tell her my stories. I'm not sure if she believes me but I mean I know what I saw."

"Maybe you should talk to a councilor or something..." She trailed off.

"Y-You don't believe me do you!?" I said frustrated.

"Well I mean how can I!? You sound insane. You're always telling me about this boy's shadow that visits you and tries to get you to go to Neverland. You've been watching way too much Disney Channel. It's time to grow up." Ashley said.

"Who are you to tell me what I need to do!?" I yelled as I walked away. That was the last time I saw Ashley. I walked home to see my mother in my room.

"Hey Clara." Mom said.

"Hi mom, what are you doing?"

"I'm fixing your window. It keeps opening in the night and that's dangerous. It's always locked before I leave. Do you unlock it at night?" She asked me.

"No, mom I told you it's the boy's shadow. He comes every night and tries to take me to Neverland but I always tell him that I need to stay to be with you, even though how I would love to go, oh my. Mermaids, fairies, pirates, indi-"

"Oh enough! Clara Elizabeth Briar it is time to grow up! I'm sick of these stupid childish stories!" My mother yelled at me.

"But mom I-"

"No! You're crazy! You're obviously insane. I'm sending you to a place where they will take care of you until you're back to normal." My mom stated.

"No! I'm not craz-" my mother cut me off yet again.

"Enough. Pack your bags. You will move into Wilbert's Asylum tomorrow morning."

That was the day my life changed forever.
