Jack yawned softly as he slowly woke up. He blushed when he felt warmth around him. The Irish gamer slowly opened his eyes, seeing Mark snuggled close to him. He smiled, feeling so comfortable with Mark's strong, but gentle, arms wrapped around him. Jack sighed quietly in content and rested his head against Mark's neck, breathing in his comforting scent. Mark woke up a few moments after, shifting slightly as he let go of Jack and stretched his arms with a yawn. "Morning, sunshine" Jack said with a smile.

Mark smiled tiredly "Good morning, Jack. How'd ya sleep?" he asked, his voice low and smooth, since it was quiet and soft.

"Best sleep I've had in a while. You?".

Mark turned to lay on his side, facing Jack "Same with me" he responded with a handsome smile. Jack's smile widened and he giggled softly, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's neck "Last night was so much fun".

Mark chuckled "Mhm. I'm glad you enjoyed it" he said as they started cuddling again. Jack just nodded lightly and nuzzled Mark's neck. Mark smiled and stroked Jack's green hair "Hey, how about we get dressed, and I can make us some breakfast?".

"Sounds great! I am getting pretty hungry" Jack replied, agreeing with Mark's suggestion.

The two then got up and got dressed, the both of them going to the kitchen afterwards. Jack sat down at the kitchen table while Mark made breakfast. The whole time they were in the kitchen, they chatted and had fun talking to one another. As they ate, the continued to do the same, along with checking their twitters and YouTube comments on their phones. After they got together as boyfriends, Jack and Mark both completely forgot about the newly discovered disease in California. They weren't really paying attention to the news, so they didn't really know how serious it was.

Eventually, the month came to an end, and it was time to take Jack to the airport to go back to his home in Ireland.

Mark helped Jack pack his bags, the both of them not being as happy as they were earlier. "Thanks for helping me pack, Mark" Jack said with a soft smile as they finished up packing.

Mark nodded "No problem, Jack. You ready to go then?". Jack sighed softly and walked closer to Mark, wrapping his arms around him and leaning against his chest "Yeahhh....guess so". Mark smiled lightly "This month sure did go by quickly, didn't it?". Jack nodded "Mhm. Why did it ever have to end?" He said dramatically with a little giggle. "Don't worry, we can skype each other when you get back" Mark said, lightly patting Jack's head. Jack nodded and pulled away, smiling "You're right. Let's go".

The two YouTubers then left the house, packing Jack's bags into Mark's car and getting in, soon heading off to the airport. Throughout the drive, Jack and Mark simply just talked to each other. They talked about how they would have to keep this relationship a secret for now, and how their friends would react when they found out. This was definitely going to be interesting.

After a car drive of joking and chatting, they finally got to the airport. They got out and stepped into the building, Mark continuing to help Jack with his bags.

"Well, I guess this is it" Jack said softly with a sigh. Mark nodded "Mhm. Guess so". Jack just lightly smiled and walked closer, gently wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's chest. Mark smiled and stroked Jack's hair "Love you, Jack". "Love you too, Mark". Jack slightly pulled away to give Mark a quick little kiss on the lips. Mark happily returned the kiss, keeping his arms loosely wrapped around his Irish lover.

They soon pulled away from the hug, smiling at each other "Guess I should go" Jack sighed. Mark nodded "Call me when you get back home?".

"Of course!" Jack replied, before lightly pecking Mark's lips one more time "Bye Mark, love you". After Mark returned the goodbye, Jack gave him one last loving smile before turning and leaving. Mark sighed softly and turned around, starting to walk away back to his car.

Before Jack could board the plane, and before Mark could leave the building to get to his car, sudden screams were heard. Mark whipped around, seeing multiple people running away from something. That's when he saw it. A person with pale skin, reddish eyes, and a foaming mouth. They looked diseased or infected with something. The stranger snarled and growled at the other people, grabbing someone and biting them viciously. Mark was horrified. What the hell was going on?!

Wait.

That's when he remembered. The disease that was discovered in California just a month ago. Was this it? Mark tried to remember the symptoms. "distortion of the mind, an abnormal hunger, and an inability to recognize loved ones". Oh no. WHERE'S JACK?

Mark immediately ran towards the crowd of people who were running away in the opposite direction. Thankfully, he found Jack pretty quickly. "W-What the fook is going on?!" Jack asked frantically. "I think It's that disease. S-Something's definitely wrong" Mark quickly said in a panic "C-C'mon, we should get back to my house" He said before grabbing Jack's wrist and starting to run to the exit of the building. Jack followed as fast as he could, holding onto his bags tightly. They passed multiple different people who were infected, managing to get away from them. Jack and Mark didn't say much to each other as they ran to the car.

Jack quickly threw his bags into the vehicle and got into the passenger seat, desperately putting on his seat belt. Mark jumped into the car and turned it on, driving away from the airport in a hurry.

Jack's eyes widened in terror as he looked out the window. LOTS of people were getting infected, and lots of people were screaming, running, ...and even dying. It looked like a horror movie outside. "Sh-Shit Mark, W-What are we going to do?! People are dying!" Jack shouted, clearly panicking. He was even sweating. Mark's eyes widened "I don't know! J-Just stay calm okay? We'll figure something out". Jack just nodded, leaning back against his car seat as he tried not to have a panic attack.

Mark almost froze when he heard the sudden sound of glass breaking and Jack's screams. He quickly turned his head and saw that an infected person shattered Jack's window and started to attack him. "JACK!" Mark wanted to do something, but if he reached over, he had a huge chance of crashing the car. He panicked, seeing Jack struggling to shove the diseased man off, who was snapping his jaw and growling madly. Mark then got an idea. He looked to see if Jack was wearing his seat belt, and when he saw that he was, he abruptly stomped on the brakes.

The infected man almost instantly fell off, leaving Jack unbitten. The car suddenly stopping was so impactful, that if Mark and Jack weren't wearing their seat belts, they surely would've crashed through the windshield. The two YouTubers were both heavily panting, trying to calm down from what just happened "Y-You okay, Jack?" Mark asked softly, concern soaking his tired voice.

Jack shakily nodded "Y-Yeah yeah, I'm fine. Let's just get the fook out of here".

They then bolted out of the car after Mark parked it in his driveway; Two infectious people chased them as they ran to the door. Thankfully, they made it just in time, and Mark immediately closed the door and locked it behind them when they ran in. The two men tiredly leaned against the door, still panting heavily. Tears welled up in Jack's eyes "What the fook is happening?!" he asked in a panic, holding his head with his hands. "I-I have no idea. Th-There's gotta be something on the news about this" Mark said, quickly pulling out his phone to check.

Mark skimmed over the words of the news article, gathering as much information as fast as he possibly could "Th-There's nothing here". He sighed "Sh-Shit...it's probably too early for a news report on this" he looked at Jack "I think something seriously bad is happening".

Jack looked at Mark with fear in his eyes. He glanced towards the window, walking towards it and looking outside. People were screaming as they frantically tried to get away from the diseased...THINGS  that were attacking them. Jack quickly closed the blinds when he saw one guy get cornered by three of those monsters. He couldn't handle seeing that.

"I-It looks like the start of a fookin' zombie apocalypse" Jack said, covering his face with oe hand as he tried to keep his tears from falling. That word hit Mark like a bunch of stones.

zombie.

This could only get worse.
