"i started to burn up, inside and out"

I drove through the empty neighborhood. The clock in my car read 12:23pm. Everyone was likely to be asleep.

This neighborhood was going to be my new home.

I sighed when I finally saw it. It was a newly remodeled house that had three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was a two story house  - a little big, but I decided to make the best of it.

I got out of the car and took out the house keys from my bag. Before I stepped inside, the house right next to mine turned on the lights.

I glanced at the window where the light shone and a figure appeared behind the white curtain.

It was blurry, but it was in the shape of a male. I couldn't tell if he was old or young.

Shaking my head, I erased the thought and entered the dark house. Hopefully my stuff would be here already. I flipped on a light switch and the room lit up. My stuff was already inside the house, boxes piled up nicely in the corner of the living room.

I had asked the movers to bring my stuff here a day earlier and gave my family the key to come to help set everything in place while I had business to take care of.

I could tell it was my mom's doing when all the house decorations were put up and all the picture frames along the wall. My couch was nicely taken care of and the TV was already plugged in and working.

In the kitchen, utensils and kitchenware were put away nicely. On the island, there was a bowl of fresh fruit and next to it was a platter of cupcakes. I chuckled to myself, knowing how much fun my mom had while doing this.

Heading up the flight of stairs, I admired the wall decorations put up. Pictures of my family, pictures of me, and quotes.

I opened up the door to the master bedroom and turned on the lights.

I gasped at the sight of it. My bed was fixed beautifully and everything was neat and clean.

I opened my walk-in closet and couldn't keep the smile off my face. All my clothes were hung up and the remaining pants were folded neatly on the shelves.

My shoes were stacked on the other shelves neatly and so were the towels. I was amazed at how organized it was. I've always wanted this and I've finally got it.

I headed towards my bathroom and started to prepare the water for my shower. It was relaxing, but I didn't want to waste anymore water so I limited myself to no more than 15 minutes.

I got dressed into some comfy shorts and a tank, not bothering to wear a bra. Just as I was drying my hair with my towel, I saw a figure move from the window across mine.

I watched carefully as the figure came more and more into focus. It was a man.

And good lord, he was the most handsome human I ever laid eyes on. He was topless and his hair was messy, but attractive. He was toned and muscular, not to mention those mouthwatering abs. I couldn't take my eyes off him.

I suddenly realized what I was doing and I mentally slapped myself for checking out my neighbor.

My super hot neighbor who happened to live right next to me and who also was my bedroom neighbor as well.

Scolding myself, I gripped my towel and threw it on a chair. I bent my head down then flipped my hair up to allow it to dry a little better.

And hopefully it erased the scene I just saw from my mind.

I ran both my hands through my hair and secretly glanced at the hot guy's window. Only his curtain was now closed. I frowned.

I flopped backwards on my bed and spread my hair out in all directions.

Maybe I can see him again tommorow. Or maybe I should introduce myself.

I yawned and stretched out on my comfy bed. I could see and feel the sunlight in my room, peeking through my curtains.

Today was going to be my first day at my new house so I should definitely do something productive.

I made my bed before heading to the bathroom. Placing my hair in a messy bun, I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen.

My phone started to ring from upstairs and I quickly rushed to my room to grab it. It was my older sister, Armelle.

"Hey, big sis," I greeted. I heard her shuffle over the phone. "Hey, baby sis. How is it there? Everything okay?"

"Everything is perfect. Tell mom I said thank you. She did great at putting everything together," I giggled as I walked back downstairs.

Armelle laughed. "I will. I have to leave soon. There's a meeting in about twenty minutes." I walked over to my cupboards and took out a mug. "Alrighty, but make sure you all visit me sometime this week," I grumbled.

We said our goodbyes and I went to grab my orange juice in the fridge. Suddenly having the feeling I was being watched, I turned to look at my living room window.

I saw his figure standing at his window, sipping a drink from his cup as he studied me. I started to burn up, inside and out.

The houses in this neighborhood were very alike so our windows bascially mirrored our neighbors' which sometimes wasn't a very good thing. But in this case, I didn't seem to mind at all.

if you have read this book when i first wrote it two/three years ago, you might notice a change in names and in some areas. i'm also rewriting Dominic since I have already finished rewriting the Good Girl series.

i'm still figuring out how to create this book because it's still very out of place since i wrote it without any plan whatsoever. i hope you'll be patient with me and enjoy the final piece when it's finished.
