Chapter 7

Just then I realized what Dylan had said.

"Guys, what time is it?" and I had to wait until Rick swallowed the doughnut in his mouth and check his wrist watch to know.

10 am? It wasn't that late. And the summer had just began.

"What are we going to do today?" I asked them after a moment of silence, and I went to join them to eat doughnuts; I was starting to feel like an outsider.

"I don't know about you guys, but I wanna party again." Alex said with a grin.

"No, please. NO more parties" I said.

"What are you talking about?" Said Alex, "You loved it yesterday! Rick, Kate was so crazy yesterday" and started laughing. "She even fell onc-" I cut him off putting like 3 doughnuts in his mouth.

"You were drunk, you don't remember shit, and you don't even know what you're talking about!!" I told him, meeting his eyes with a dead stare.

Dylan starts to laugh remembering "Oh yeah" and laughs again louder. "They were dancing and she was so into it that she didn't noticed the coffee table behind her and stumbled with it, but she contained her balance and didn't fall. She was so happy that she didn't, that made a victory jump, and when she landed, her high heels failed her and then she actually did fall" now he was seriously laughing.

"It isn't even that funny!" I yelled at them trying not to laugh, but their laughs were contagious.

"But," Alex laughs. "you fell anyways!" He laughs annoyingly again. "That's what makes it funny" And he kept laughing, only to my surprise, this time Rick united them.

I gave him a 'Really?' look, and he put his hands up in front of him like a scared criminal caught by the police, acting innocent, but then started laughing again.

I rolled my eyes. "Hey, life's a bitch." Rick said.

"And so are my heels..."I responded, and joined them laughing.

After some time of laughing, I felt the necessity of not being their joke anymore, and changed the subject, "By the way guys, there was another sofa, not all of you had to sleep in the floor...or the bathroom."

"We thought it wouldn't be fair for the other two, so we all went to the floor" Alex responded.

"I bet you were too drunk to even argue about it" I commented.

"Nah, that's why we bought McDonald's, I wanted to sober up before coming to grandma's" he told me.

"And you didn't even buy me some? You guys are mean to me..." I said, teasing them.

"Dude, I knew for a fact that you were really tired. First, you woke up early yesterday, which is surprising, I should add, and then went to the party 'til it was over because of us, we didn't want to disturb your sleep." Dylan said "Rick even volunteered to pick you up and lay you on the sofa so you wouldn't wake up." he then added.

     "True that." Alex said.

Rick looked away quickly covering his face expression. But mine was all over the place, i was starting to blush.

"Anyways guys, really, what are we going to do?" I said, changing the subject one more time.

    "Invite Marie over!" Alex ordered.

"That's not really an activity, Alex. Plus, even if I do, we still don't know what we're going to do" I replied.

"Well, I heard our mothers talking yesterday and they were planning to go to a hotel for he weekend. So we don't have to do something that extreme for today, and save energies for that." Dylan suggested.

    "Good idea." I said.

"Let's go to our place and decide there, but first, go call Marie and tell her to meet us there." Alex ordered me again. He was so demanding when it came to Marie. It was cute, though. So I just gave him a smirk, and walked away to accomplish his demand.

I heard a few rings before she answered, and then a sleepy Marie spoke, but I couldn't understand a word of what she had said.

    "Eh?" I asked.

    "Good morning." she repeated.

"Oh. Hehe, good morning." I replied. "I was wondering if maybe you wanted to come over to Dylan's to hang out? Alex specifically wants you to come."

She giggled. "Yeah, sure. I'll be there in a minute" She said, and then hung up.

It was so awesome that we all lived so close to each other. The furthest away was Marie and it took her 15 minutes to arrive by car. The closest was Dylan, he lived in the street after our grandma's. It was so close that we chose to walk there.

Before heading to Dylan's, I took some of my aunt's clothes from when she used to live with my grandma so I could take a shower and change clothes.

In our way there, a pair of dogs barked at us and I jumped to the guy next to me, who happened to be frigging Rick, and I was so embarrassed, but he just smiled to be nice.

We finally made it to Dylan's and took turns to the bathroom. We understood that Alex wanted to be the first one to get ready because Marie was already on her way there, but Dylan was being an ass.

"What about being a gentleman?" I bitched at him.

"If you must know, baby, it went away with my heterosexuality when I found out that dicks were prettier than pussies." he said sticking his tongue out at us, and then went into the bathroom.

So I, again, was alone with Rick while Alex was dressing up in his room.

"So..." I said to brake the awkwardness.

"Yeah?" he asked not taking his eyes off of his phone.

"I don't know.." I said and giggled nervously.

He smiles. "You really have changed, you know?" he asks, finally looking at me.

    "How come?"

"Everything," he answers and stares at me for a minute. "your boyfriend must be very lucky."

He says looking away finding something else to put attention to on his phone.

"I don't have a boyfriend" I said too quickly. 'nice Kate, you didn't sound desperate at all', but then added "guys are a waste of time."

He then looked at me with a smile and then faked he was heart broken, being way too over dramatic.

"Does that mean you don't have that little crush on me anymore?" he asked with that gorgeous smile still on his face, and the winks at me.

I instantly turned tomato red. I couldn't believe he brought up such a topic!

What the hell was I going to say after that?

Just then, we heard some knocks on the door.

Thank you, Jesus!
