The Necklace

I can hear what their saying.
*Upstairs*
"Wake up B" He says shaking the blanket. I hear the bathroom door swing open. "What are you doing in here" She says. "You look great" He says. Ooo I bet there blushing. "Can you leave" She says probably putting her hair to the side. I hear feet dragging and a door slam. "What was that all about" I say eating a handful of chips. "I don't know she acted like she didn't even know me" He says eating cereal. "The bus is here" Adam hollered. Brooklyn ran downstairs with her backpack. "Sveva come on" She grabbed my hand. That's weird, usually she would be all over Chance. We all got on the bus. We have our own seat away from the guys. "Are you OK Brooklyn" I say looking at her facial expression. "Never better" She says smiling. "You still like chance right" I say confused. "Who is that" She says laughing. "The one you've like for 8 months." I say confused. "Veva I think your imagining things" She says tying her shoes laces. "Did your eye color change" I say squinting. "No just black" She says laughing. "So you don't know Chance Swift" I say taking out my phone. "Nope" She says shaking her head just as we all arrived at school. We get off the bus. Usually she would wait for chance to get off but she didn't. "I have to tell chance something" I say as she waved goodbye. He and Maria steps off the bus. I pull their arms to an empty classroom. "Major 101 PROBLEM" I say closing the door. I told them the whole story and their jaws dropped. "This is so not good" Maria says pacing back and forth. "she doesn't remember me" He says looking outside. "Look that's not true" I say. "What is true then" He says slamming his hand on the desk. "She probably wants you tell her how you really feel" I say crossing my arms. "Like the boy who cried because I..." Maria says laughing. "Guys what are you doing in here" Brooklyn says scaring the shit out of all of us. "Oh nothing" we all say awkwardly. "Hey Maria" She said waving at him. "Thanks for letting me borrow the notes" She says giving her the paper. "No problem" She says giving me that look. She leaned closer to my ear. "Who's that over there" she says looking over at him. "Chance Swift" The one I was talking about earlier. "Meet chance Brook" I say pushing her over there. "Hi" She says shaking his hand. "Oh um hey" he says smiling at her and straching his arm. They were talking and we were behind both of them. I make hearts behind Chance and Maria is making kissy noises behind Brooklyn. "Um so" He says before his faced to red. "Well I should go" She says waving goodbye. "Brook nice necklace" Maria says looking over at it. "Oh I found it when I was at the beach just before I got into the car. It was glowing when I found it too" She says about to leave. "Hey Brook why are your cheeks so red" I say laughing. She turned and flipped me off. "Omg guys did she always have brown eyes" Maria says. "No way her eyes were black" Chance says looking at me. "Wow I was right" I say remembering what I said yesterday. "What" He says. "That you stratch your arm when your thinking about her" I say putting my hair up. "I don't think about her that much" He says scratching his arm. Me and Maria both fold are arms. "I don't" He says rolling his eyes. "Oh yeah look at this" I say showing him a picture of Brooklyn in the summer. "Damn she's hot" He says biting his lip. "Ok don't do that ever again" I say "We should go to class" Maria says opening the door. We walk into class late. Me and Maria sit by each other and Brooklyn and Chance sit right infront of us. I need to see how this plays out. "Hey B" He says but she's copying down notes. "Brooklyn" I whispered and she turned around. I pointed at Chance and she said "oh hey" she turned and then went back to writing. "We need have to get that necklace off her ASAP" I say accidentally raising my hand. "Do you have the answer to the question" Mr.B says. "Uhh um.." I was cut off by Brooklyn. "The answer is 2x +78" She says making.y jaw drop. She turned around and gave me a thumbs up. "Did you see her eye color change back to black" Maria says poking my shoulder. I smack her hand off. "I've seen this in a movie" I say taking out my phone and showing her the picture. "She has do her biggest fear" I say remembering what had happened. "Sleepover ASAP" Maria says making ever turn around. "Idiot" I say shaking my head. "DETENTION" The teacher says pointing to the four of us. "What did I do" Brook says right when the bell rings. Everyone leaves and we stay after. "NO TALKING" Mrs. Sweet screams. How can someone be named sweet but mean as fuck? "Hey what your name again" Brooklyn says poking chance's arm. "Chance" He says sadly.

"Okay guys you can leave now" The teacher says as we grab our stuff and go. "Brook. sleepover. your house" I say walking beside her. "Sure" She says fixing her hair. "Aww guys let's take a picture" Maria says taking out her phone. "Ok one. two. three. Smile" she says smiling. "Aw look at you guys smiling together" Maria says making kissy noises. "Pft puhlease I would never date him" She says flipping her hair. "Yeah sure you wouldn't" He says smirking.
