Time period: February 1988, Majestic Theatre
After a much needed bathroom trip to clean up her runny makeup, Rebecca was escorted by a guard to the backstage. "Looks like you really enjoyed the show!" He joked. Rebecca let out a shy laugh in response "He's this year's Tony winning actor for sure." When the two reached the beginning of the dressing room hall, she saw him there. Time almost stood still as Rebecca caught Michael's eye and power walked to him, gradually leading into a jog feeling his strong arms catch her into a firm embrace. A soft "Oh my darling!" was heard from him as his right arm gripped around her back, lifting her slightly off the ground while the left rubbed her lower back. Rebecca's eyes began to water again and lifted her face off his chest and just let her forehead rest against him as to not get her makeup stained on his costume. Michael softly let go, wiped her tears away with his thumbs and pressed a sweet kiss to her forehead. "Would you like to come inside love?" He asked smiling. She nodded yes, now feeling more comfortable to smile. A seat next to his makeup chair awaited her as she sat down and watched the makeup removal process up close and personal. The two held hands and exchanged conversation as the makeup assistants rubbed baby oil on towels to wipe his face clean of the deformities. After the last bit of makeup was removed he bid the makeup assistants goodbye. Rebecca got up to say goodbye as well and congratulated them on their work
" I couldn't recognize him from the stage and headshot from the program!" They said their thanks and left, closing the door slightly behind them. Rebecca pushed the door completely closed and came back to her seat. Before she could sit down though, Michael grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards him. "Alone at last my love!" He smiled. "After all this time." She gushed, gracefully placing herself onto Michael's lap, kicking her boots off and slipping her legs through the hole of the left armrest. Rebecca talked to Michael for what seemed like ages, lightly scratching the back of his head and affectionately rubbing up and down his chest while occasionally fidgeting with his white V-neck. Eventually, Rebecca had lifted her right leg from the left armrest hole into the right, facing Michael completely. They embraced once again, less forceful than the last one and with lots more kisses. At one point it started getting a bit warm and she started to let out some unsuccessfully concealed yawns. " Getting tired darling?" Michael cooed. She nodded, trying to sustain another yawn to little avail. "So am I. You can rest with me until they fetch you." "Love you darling." She smiled and kissed the tip of his nose, making him giggle. They sat and rested in each other's arms until Rebecca's ride came. She got out of the chair slipped her boots on and kissed the future Tony winner goodbye. "I hope to see you again before October 8th." She smiled. " I'll be there." he replied giving her a kiss. Rebecca turned around as she left waving goodbye one last time, and saw him wave back and blow a kiss.
