Chapter 3

I sprint to the short wall surrounding the village. Two men in worn-down armor look down at me from their seats a couple feet off the ground. The one on the left gets down from his 'throne' and walks down the small flight of stone stairs and walks up to me. "And who," he says "might you be?" " I'm a Fairy Tail member and I accepted your job request. "Show me your guild mark." He grunts. I show him my (f/c) guild mark and ha grunts "Name." "Classified information" I answer with the same cold tone he spoke to me with. Sighing as if showing defeat, he lets me through the gates and guides me to a fancy looking, high-class house.

When we reach the building, the guard nocks on the door in a pattern, or some kind of code. I snicker. Wow. Soo original. If the guard heard my snicker, he ignored it. "Come in" a muffled voice speaks from the other side of the door. The guard next to me opens the door and takes a few steps one he was inside, gesturing towards me to follow him. So I do. Once I entered the home, the wooden door closes shut behind me, causing me to jump a little. I look up to see a neutral face staring back at me.

I mentally shout in my head. Now was not the time for descriptions. "Hello, Fairy Tail member, I presume?" She speaks in a voice she's trying to keep steady, but failing slightly, some worry and...fear seeping out. I nod, not wanting to worry her further. "Then you have come for the job we requested. Good. I'm Cheif Angela, head or cheif of this village. And you are......?" She trails off, and I, not wanting to state my name to a complete stranger I couldn't trust, tell her to call me by the fist initial of my first name. "Call me (f/i)" I tell her. "Okay....(f/i). Let me tell you the directions to the lair of the Minotaurs, and you can start heading there." Angela proceeds to give me instructions on where to go to reach the lair of the creatures. When she finished explaining, and telling me where and where not to go, she hands me a map just in case I get lost. Hahaha. Me getting lost. I thank her, and head out of the village, to the cave the creatures called their "home".

As I look around the unfamiliar forest, I hear a rustling sound in a bush behind me. Quickly turning back, I see a rustling bush. "Not this again." I speak to myself. I walk over to the bush and move the leaves around to see if I can spot anything. When I see nothing, I give up searching for pretty much nothing and look down at the map, obselrving the arrows in faded ink, having forgotten the directions the Chief gave me due to the small distraction. Sighing, I start walking towards the part of the map labeled "Minotaur Cave".
