Uri bring your fucking ass in this kitchen right now! Screams Jacob her clearly inebriated father. Zuri also known as Uri only to her friends and close family, trudges to the kitchen from her bedroom that she shares with her 17 year old sister Seraphina. She was already aggravated from failing her Final exam for her statistics class, down at the local community college and she knew that whatever her drunk father was calling her for it was probably for nothing.
When she reached the kitchen Her father was mumbling something under his breath over the sink, that he didn't even notice her standing there. "Yes?" Uri said with arms folded across her chest. "What did I do wrong this time?" "Don't you sass talk me" , hissed her dad who was foaming from the mouth in anger. "Why didn't you wash the dishes like I told you?" slurred Jacob. "I did wash the dishes daddy" "So if you did then what is this?"
Uri almost cracked up in laughter as her dad waved a plastic fork in her face. "Is something funny?" "No. Nothing is funny it's just that its a plastic fork, and you could have thrown it away; instead of calling me all the way in here to complain about that. Besides when I washed the dishes before I left for class, I made sure there was completely nothing in the sink." By now he was boiling over in rage, Uri thinks she mighta saw smoke coming from out his ears that's how mad he was. He threw the plastic fork at her face but it fell just a few feet away from where he stood, and ordered her to her room.
" You miserable bitch, your just like your mother." Screams her dad as Uri heads back to the only place where she can escape his daily abuse. As Uri headed back to her room, the front door opens and in walks her mother Torin. "You better deal with him cause I had it" stated Uri, as she was walking by her mother, Torin, who appeared to be having a great day, which quickly changed when she figured it was her husband being a bully again. " He's been drinking, hasn't he? Asked her mother. Uri headed into her room and slammed the door. Guess mother got her answer.
