I stare at Rya with complete disbelief. I met the portal and discovered that Rya has a brother I've never seen and they turned on the queen in order to help me. It seemed like things were finally being put together again. I couldn't help but let my mind wander to Lex and Lizza. Who are they? Suddenly two siblings show up with fiery red hair that matches Rya's scales and a portal opens up. It's all so suspicious.

"Rya? Who is your brother?" I ask, she casts her stare down.

"I think you know what's happening here." she whispers. Red sparkles circle Rya as the body of Lizza steps out before me.

Her hair was messily stuck to her face and her clothes were torn in multiple places. Her eyes stare at me sadly and she bites her lip.

"Wait. If you're a dragon, does that mean Lex is too?" I whisper cautiously. She shakes her head and sighs.

"No, he technically hasn't developed the ability to change into whatever animal he is. So he's basically useless."

"So he is an animal, but no one knows what he is?" I question.

"Exactly. When he does something brave to protect the people he cares for then he will discover who he is. However, my brother doesn't care about anyone but himself, hence why he hasn't turned yet." she replies emotionally. Her eyes strain to the left and she turns her body away.

I follow her gaze and see Lex standing in the middle of the green grass in the field. His hair was soaked from the rain and his clothes clung to his body greedily. He turns his eyes towards me and his face seems to soften before contorting back to grief and anger when Lizza stepped in front of me. He walked towards us hesitantly, yet bravely.

"You revealed yourself." he hissed.

"I had to! Nessima was here and I needed to protect our hero seeing as how you ran off because you can't handle the thought of protecting others! Besides Lex, Sonya isn't stupid, she caught on very quickly because you were suspicious as hell!" Lizza retorts guiltlessly.

"Ness was here?" he gasps. Lizza rolls her eyes.

"Yes, and she almost killed Sonya, but I bet you don't care, as long as she didn't go near you." she finishes rudely before grabbing my elbow.

"Where are we going?" I ask, my eyes were still locked on Lex.

"Away from this useless fool. I'll kill him if we don't leave and if something were to happen he wouldn't protect you." she sighs clumsily.

"I would protect her!" he shouts sadly. Lizza spins on her heels, throwing me to the ground accidentally.

"That's a lie! You don't know how to protect anyone but yourself! You're the reason Lorissa died because you didn't want to risk your precious life!" Lizza screams.

"Lorissa wasn't my fault! I couldn't do anything! If you should blame anyone you should blame Nessima!" he growls dangerously.

"That's exactly what I mean Lex. You only think about yourself, you're blaming others for Lorissa's death because you don't want to have that guilt on your filthy conscience." Lizza finished quietly before walking away.

"Are you going with her?" I hear Lex whisper sadly. I look at his cloaked eyes and turn my face towards the ground.

"Where else would I go?" I respond.

"You could stay with me." he states nervously.

"I think Lizza needs someone right now." I tell him as I look back at Lizza.

"I need someone too." he whimpers. I gently push some of his hair behind his ear and kiss his forehead.

"Use this time to discover who you truly are." I say gently.

I run towards Lizza and intertwine my arm with hers. She looks at me with such hurt in her eyes, like at any moment this girl who was a giant dragon could crack and turn to dust. My eyes wander behind me and sigh to myself when I see another broken soul on his knees with tears rolling down his face. Whomever Lorissa was, it was a subject that could destroy the strongest. I couldn't help but to be curious about that story, but maybe for another time. I look towards Lizza and wipe away a tear from her cheek.

"I didn't know dragons could cry." I say quietly to myself.

"We can cry rivers." she responds with a small chuckle.

"Please don't leave me alone." A faint whisper echoed in my ear and I stopped mid stride and looked back. Lex was gone and no one else was around but Lizza and myself.

Suddenly a little ball of light forms in front of me. It glowed a ravenous red before it exploded open. I scream as a long arm reached through and pulls me through the sphere of colour. I feel my hands and arms getting yanked at, however nothing worked. My body slipped into the abyss of red, all I saw was a wicked smile before it went black.
