Chapter Twenty: Let It End Where It Began
~Bri~
Chris and I walked out of the venue, hand in hand, smiling at each other. Can you believe this? I’m in love with Christofer Drew. Of all people. How could would’ve guessed this could happen? Not me.
“Bri! Bri!” Jordan was running toward us at full speed. “You two are together?! Finally!” he yelled coming to a stop next to me.
I smiled at him. “How’d you know?”
“Dude, that shit is already on YouTube.” he laughed, throwing his arm around my shoulders, smiling at Chris from above my head. They’re such bro’s.
All of a sudden, Julz, CC, Andy, Oli, Jinxx, Travis, Alex, Hunter, Jack, Danny and everyone else in the tour were walking with us, laughing, smiling, talking. Even Chasing Starz. It’s like an army of famous people. I smiled to myself. These guys aren’t only my idols, or my closest friends, now, they’re my family. I’ve come to realize that, being on tour and playing shows every night, is more amazing then I could have ever imagined. Charlotte will always be my city, but the open road is my home. And this is exactly where I belong.

*Six Months Later*
--------------------------The bus pulled to a screeching stop in front of the Code 77 building. I can’t believe the tour is over. Tonight is our very last show.
I began pacing back and forth, trying to calm myself. I‘m so nervous about tonight. Everyone I know is going to be at this show. What if we mess up? Oh fuck. The pressure! “Are you sure you want to sing this tonight?” I nervously asked Chris, holding up my song book. “Because, we SO don’t have to.”
He rolled his eyes at me before crushing his cigarette in the ash try, walking toward me. “I‘m completely sure.” he said in a sweet voice, wrapping his long arms around my waist. He gave me a breath taking smile. “Marry me.”
“No.” I chuckled. However, I knew he wasn’t joking. He’s been asking me that for the past two months. I understand the whole ‘I’ve been in love with you for five years’ thing, but getting married? That’s too much for me. I’m 18 for crying out loud! Everyone would assume I was pregnant. No pun intended. “Too young, no bueno.”
He rolled his eyes. “Fair enough.” he whispered before leaning down to kiss me. There, glued to him lips like paint, was a fresh taste of cigarettes. I smiled. I’m used this this taste now, and I’ve actually started enjoying it. It’s…a calming taste. If that makes any sense. Chris suddenly pulled back. “What are you thinking about?” he chuckled, staring me in the eyes.
“I’m trying to figure out why my boyfriend stopped kissing me.” I grabbed his shirt, pulling him back to my level. Let’s face it, the kid is a foot taller than me.
I felt his lips pull into a smile as he pulled me closer to him. Which felt AMAZING. I still can’t believe I’m dating someone I hated with a passion. Odd right?
“Whoa! Whoa! Can you do that after the show? Goddamn!” that was Jack, laughing from the bus door. How did he even get in here?
“May we remind you once more,” Alex said as he walked up the stairs. “Cap it before you tap it, bro!” he high fived Jack.
I rolled my eyes, pulling away from Chris. “We should really lock that door.” I whisper to him before grabbing a pillow and throwing it at Jack and Alex in one swift monition. “Out!”
