Rocs are immense birds of prey. They are big enough to carry off and eat full grown African elephants. Rocs live all over the world, although, they're most common in Africa. And feed on all manner of large animals. The average wingspan of a roc is around 48 feet in length, with feathers as big as Palm leaves. A roc's eggs may have a circumference as round as 145 ft. Roc's normally have white or grey feathers, but on rare occasions they might be born with black or silver feathers. Roc's live about one thousand years and have been known to lay up to 5 fertilized eggs in their lifetime. Some brave people hunt rocs for meat, alchemical ingredients, or to follow it to it's nest and harvest it's eggs. Most roc chasers do not live long. A roc has advanced intelligence and basic sapience. While rocs cannot converse or contemplate their own existence, they can solve complex problems or scenarios and understand most speech and dialects. If one comes across a well fed roc, one could theoretically talk it out of eating them. One might even gain the allegiance of a roc by promise of food or protection.
