Clary and Alec

Chapter 3

Alec's pov
"Magnus" I say, "what are you doing here?" " well, hello to you too, Alexander" he replies. I hate when he calls me that. " I actually needed to talk to all of you. I need your help" he says. "With what" I hear clary say quietly.
"Well one of my warlock...... friends is visiting and I thought it would be nice to have a party" he replies."ohhh I love parties" says Isabelle happily. "When do you need us to come help you?" I ask, trying to avoid eye contact.
"How about tomorrow around 2:00" he says. "Uh sure that sounds good" I reply awkwardly." " ok I'm going to go now " says Magnus. "Bye" says clary.
Well that was awkward, I say to myself as everyone exits the training room.

Clary pov
As I left the training room I caught up with Izzy. "Hey was it just me or was it really awkward between Alec and Magnus back there" "oh, didn't you hear that they broke up a few days ago" she said. "Oh really? Why" I asked.
"I don't know Alec won't talk about it and he says he's interested in girls now" Izzy says. "Oh" I say. "By the way what happened between you and Alec before I walked in to the training room?" She asked. "Uhh N-nothing, W-why?"I ask. "No reason" she says smiling.

3 hours later. 9:00 pm.
"Clary, why did you let this happen to me. This is all your fault and now I'm dead because of you."
"Jace I'm sorry I didn't mean for valentine to kill you. It's not my fault" I say, crying. "Oh stop crying you know everyone blames you for my death. I can't believe I ever loved you when all you ever did was cause problems. I HATE you, Clary Fairchild." " jace don't say that. It's not true" I say. "Yea it is and you deserve this" he says, taking a step toward me. And then everything goes black.

I jump out of bed breathing heavily. Another nightmare. Great. I didnt want to be alone so I went to Izzy's room. Once I got there I knocked on the door. No answer. I knocked again, this time I heard her snoring. I chuckled to myself. Izzy always did snore the loudest. As I turned around I hit something hard and fell to the floor. "Clary, why aren't you asleep?" I heard Alec say as he helped me up. "I had a nightmare..... about jace" I said. "Oh are you ok?" He asked. "Yeah, I just didn't want to be alone so I came to find Izzy, but as you can probably tell by her snoring she's already asleep " I say,smiling. "Yeah" Alec says laughing a little. His laugh is really beautiful to hear. It's so rare to hear him laugh though. "Well goodnight clary."
"Goodnight" "Alec,wait" I say.
"What is it?" he asks, turning around to face me. "Can I uhh- can I sleep in your room tonight?" I ask awkwardly. "Um sure" he replies equally as awkward.
Once we get to his room I grab a pillow and blanket and start placing it on the ground. "What are you doing?" Alec asks , laughing. "You know you can sleep in my bed" he tells me. "Oh thanks" I say. I grab the stuff and place it back on the bed. I lay down on the bed a Alec pulls the covers over us. We stay quiet for about five minutes. Then without thinking I entertwine our hands together. I feel him tense at first but eventually he relaxes. I soon fell asleep while still holding his hand.
