What you mean to me you'll never know

Deep inside I need to show

You came into my life sent from above

When I lost all hope, you showed me love

Chapter 4

He was falling.

He was continuously falling.

To where, he didn't know.

He couldn't do anything.

And suddenly it was as if he reached the bottom.

James's eyes snapped opened.

He was in his room.

It was bright.

He turned to the window.

'Morning already.'

Suddenly, he felt a hand on his.

He looked back at the bed.

Nadine. She was already awake and she was looking at him.

James grew scared. He was now fully awake.

Nadine looked very tired and weak.

"Are you okay?" He asked, coming closer to her.

"I.. I..." Her voice was weak.

James grew more worried.

"Wait here," James said. "I'll go get some---" he was cut off.

"No... James... Don't leave me." She said, her voice more strong.

'Again.' She finished in her mind.

"Don't leave me just yet." She told him.

James slowly nodded. "Okay." he said.

He held her hand more tighter and sat on the bed's side. Nadine moved closer to him and he did so, as well.

James brushed a strand of her away from her face. Nadine closed her eyes at the touch, savoring the feel of his hand on her face.

He began stroking her hair with his free hand while the other still clutch her hand.

They stayed like that for a long while.

"I remembered." Nadine started. "I remembered everything, James."

'Even things I shouldn't remember.' Nadine thought bitterly.

James stayed quiet.

Laughters.

Two girls were laughing heartily. One chasing after the other.

"Nadz!!" Trisha called out, both annoyed and amused. Nadine had messed up Trisha's wings and now it was the color yellow.

Suddenly, Nadine stopped.

Surprised, Trisha moved closer to her. She was looking at something.

"Nadz?"

"Look, Trish!" Nadine said, pointing at some sort of a gazebo.

Trisha looked. It was the first time they had come to that side of the Garden.

Nadine moved closer and touched the gates. It opened.

"Nadine!" Trisha called, aghast. "Nadine, don't! We're off-limits here. This is for the Second Choir!" Trisha said.
