I rolled over in my bed and stared at the alarm clock until my vision cleared and I could make out the numbers. I jumped up with a start. I had twenty minutes to be in school.
"Casey!" I yelled waking my brother up,"Wake up we're going to be late!" I shouted to my brother as I burst threw the door. He was rolled over and looked at me like I was crazy.
"Late?" I heard a voice come from the couch and saw Jordan propped up on his elbows.
"For school?" I said in a 'duh' tone with an eyebrow raised. I heard my brother mumble and roll over pulling a pillow over his head.
"Its Saturday Cody." Jordan said with an amused grin.
"Oh." I said and turned a bright shade of red before turning to the door to leave. "Sorry guys." I muttered and left. What the hell had convinced me it was a school day? I laughed at myself and returned to my room crawling under the covers and closing my eyes after about 15 minutes it became clear I wasn't going to be able to sleep again. I threw the covers back and huffed as I got out of bed. I wandered downstairs in my pajamas and threw myself onto the couch and grabbed the remote. I put on a movie channel they were playing some horror movie. I loved horror movies! I was so into the movie I didn't even hear Jordan come in the room until he threw himself on the couch beside me. Causing me to jump in the air frightened. I turned and glared at him and he laughed,
"Pay back." He said and winked causing me to blush deeply which only made him laugh more.
"Oh hush. Its getting to a good part. " I said to him scowling and turning my eyes back to the television. The man on the tv slowly crept up beside the young blond girl. He raised the knife above his head. I was screaming at the girl in my head telling her to run. She must have heard me cause she turned quickly and began running but the man was gaining on her I was on the edge of my seat. When she tripped and fell forward. He stalked her in the dark trees before suddenly jumping out and attacking her. I screeched and jumped into Jordans lap burying my head in his chest as the girls screams echoed around the room.
"You can look now." Jordan said barely containing his laugh. I peeked out and saw that the scene had changed. I climbed off of him and glaring I hit him playfully on the arm.
"I wasn't scared." I muttered.
"Oh so you just wanted to sit on my lap?" He said and waggled his eye brows. I fake gagged and got off the couch heading to the kitchen to make breakfast.
"Beavis? What do you and Butt head want to eat?" I called to Jordan as I leaned into the refrigerator to see what he had I straightened up and turned around to come face to face with Jordan he was inches from me. Smiling down at me. He was nearly six feet tall to my five feet five inches. His dark hair gleamed in the morning sun. His amber colored eyes gleamed and his full lips where pulled into a grin. I took a step back and gulped audibly as he stepped closer pushing against my body, as I backed into the refrigerator. He grinned even more as the blush crept into my cheeks. He began lowering his face to mine his eyes intent on my lips. I was frozen to the spot. I didn't know what to do. Let him kiss me? Push him away? I didn't have to think long. Just as his lips brushed mine I heard someone shout,
"What the fuck?!" Jordan pulled away from me quickly and I was finally able to breath. I took a deep breath and faced the doorway where my brother stood looking very angry.
"Whats this?" He asked in a deathly low voice.
"Nothing man, just talking." Jordan said and grinned sheepishly.
"That better have been all." Casey said between clenched teeth. And made his way to the table.
"Erm so eggs?" I asked trying to break the awkward silence. They both nodded and I made some scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. We began eating and the silence was killing me.
