"Cody wake up!" Casey was standing in my doorway grinning,"you might want to go clean up before mom and dad get home." He said and turned and walked away. Oh god it was just a dream. What was wrong with me. I cant think of another female like that its just wrong and gross and...wrong. I shuddered and climbed out of bed. Missy was gone and I found a note on my dresser.
Had to run early didn't wanna wake u, u looked too peaceful text me when u get up maybe we can go to the mall or something

I crumpled the note up and threw it into the trash can. I pulled out my phone and scrolled down to
"Ahem." Someone cleared their throat behind me. Vanessa.
"Hey Nessa." I said and continued cleaning.
"Need help?" She asked but I could here some anger in her voice.
"Sure," I said and handed her a bag, she took it roughly from my hand and I raised an eye brow at her,"Ok, whats the problem?" I asked and stared intently at her face looking for a reaction. She turned away from me and began picking things up, but answered.
"Besides losing my best friend to some bleach blond tramp, nothing." She said monotone and my jaw dropped. I felt anger well in me at the way she spoke about Missy but pushed it aside realizing she was truly upset.
"Nessa be serious, you have been my bff for what...like ever? No one could ever replace you." I said and smiled reassuringly, she smiled at me and rushed at me pulling me into a tight hug.
"Oh my gosh you had me so scared I thought you were going to ditch me for 'Missy'.'' She said her name in a mocking tone.
"Don't worry, I wont be hanging out with her anymore." I said and laughed lightly.
"Why? What did she do to you?" Vanessa asked going into protection mode and narrowing her eyes.
"Nothing...its just..."I debated on telling her the truth that Missy did something to me that I couldn't explain but I didn't think she would understand," nothing I just don't like her." I said and my head screamed LIAR! at me. I shook it off and we continued cleaning. It took us almost an hour and we were finally done. you wouldn't even know there had been a party. I smiled to myself. I just might get away with this. We took the trash to the garage and deposited it in the receptacles and went back inside. The boys were watching a nascar race and I rolled my eyes at Vanessa when I caught her staring longingly at Casey. We sat down and watched some of the race with them.
"I'm going to take a shower, be right back." I said and headed for my room. As I was climbing the stairs my phone began to vibrate in my back pocket. I took it out and flipped it open. I didn't recognize the number but I answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hey Cody." Shit...it was Missy. Her voice made my stomach flip.
"Er..hi."
"Do you have plans today? Cause I was going to catch a movie or something if you want to come."
"Oh..well...I kinda...already have plans." I shook my head in disgust, I was a horrible liar.
"Oh.alright then, maybe some other time." I could here the smile in her voice.
"Yea. Sure. Bye." I said and flipped my phone closed. I quickly stripped out of my clothes and climbed into the shower. Ten minutes later got out and wrapped myself in a towel. I went back and picked up my phone I saved Missys number again. So I would know not to answer. I got dressed quickly in plane black jeans and a plain white fitted t shirt. I threw on my black and white shell toes and ran a brush through my hair. Good enough I thought as I slicked on my chap stick. I hopped down the stairs were focused on the race and Vanessa was focused on Casey I laughed quietly and shook my head. I was going to have to hook them up.
"Ready Nessa?" I must have scared her because she jumped a mile and looked down guiltily.
"Where we going?" She asked
"Erm...the mall?"
"Oh ok lets go." She said smiling widely and jumping up. We went out side and jumped into my c ar. I put the radio up loud and Lady GaGa began blasting through the speakers. Vanessa and I bobbed along with the music and sang loudly. We pulled up outside the mall and climbed out of the car. I hit the button on the key ring and the lights blinked twice indicating the alarm was set. We walked towards the mall talking about random things. Once inside we stopped at a few stores. I pulled her into foot locker with me. I loved sneakers they were my passion I had almost one hundred pairs all mint condition still with their original boxes. Yes I was a little obsessive with them. Thats why they looked so good still. I immediately went to my favorite pair in the store. They were all red designed by Kanye West and made by Louis Vuitton. { http://ashallann.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/2uj1ddx.jpg } I fantasized over these shoes and came and saw them every time I came to the mall. They were out of my price range thought. Eight hundred and seventy dollars. Yea. Thats the same face I made when I saw the price tag. I stood there and drooled over them a little more until Vanessa dragged me away to the food court.
"What do you want?" She asked me.
"A pair of Louis Vuitton Dons." I said dreamily and she rolled her eyes at me.
"I meant food wise."
"Oh...Chinese sounds good." We got in like at Mr. Woks and walked away with two trays piled with a little bit of everything. We sat down and began to eat when someone sat beside me. Surprised I turned to see Missy smiling widely at me. Butterflies released in my stomach and my heart fluttered.
"Hey Cody. You should have told me you were coming here we all could have together." She said smiling and I looked behind her. There was a girl standing there she was strikingly tall she had to be close to six feet tall and rail thin, she had long flowing blond hair that was softly curled and cat like amber colored eyes. Her skin was flawless and her lips full and pink. She looked like she had just walked out of a fashion magazine, she was gorgeous, and she was currently murdering me with her eyes. One of her perfectly manicured hands went to Missys shoulder her long slender fingers running across her collarbone and I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy deep in my gut. Missy noticed where my gaze was and smiled.
"Oh I'm sorry, Cody this is Stefanya, Stef, this is Cody, the girl I was telling you about." The girl simply nodded with a dirty look on her beautiful face. I glared back at her and she looked taken aback. I smirked and turned back to my food. Vanessa looked uneasy. I gave her a 'whats up?' look and she just shook her head and finished eating.
"So, Missy, how you know this, girl again?" When Stefanya spoke she had a strong Russian accent.
"School." Missy said and smiled at me, I smiled back I couldn't help it and the girl snorted.
"She is not like how you said Missy." She looked me up and down and had a look of disgust on her face. Missy blushed and I was just confused.
"Erm...well we better get going." I said quickly as Vanessa and I stood up.
"Oh...ok." Missy said disappointment clouding her face. I wasn't sure what to do, hug her? Just walk away? Instead I awkwardly held out my hand for her to shake. She took my hand and traced her thumb down my palm causing chills to tingle down my spin. I turned and quickly walked back to my car, Vanessa right behind me. My head was spinning. What was going on with me? What was wrong with me?
"Cody! Wait up!" I turned to see Missy rushing over to me.
"Whats up?" I asked her while she caught hear breath.
"Here." She handed me a bag and I looked at her like she was crazy, inside was a box, it was wrapped in pretty pink paper and had a silver bow on top. ''Just take it." She said and winked before turning and running back to Stefanya who was standing in the door way hands on her hips and a scowl on her face. I threw the bag in he back seat and headed for home.
