V. A Sticky Situation

"So Jeremy and Jack are doing your dirty works for you?" Mia sniggers. She came up with this idea that we take a break from reality, and the best place she could find was this little tea shop here in Glen Highlands. It was fancy, except the burning unavoidable fact that Mia, might be a secret beverage addict.

"Firstly Mia, it isn't dirty work," I state out, "It was your plan remember? And besides, it's been what, five days? Jack and Jeremy are probably the most known guys at our school, and they can easily start out our plan without us being physically involved - since Tiffany wants to fight power for power. We have till Monday to wait and see."

"A-ha, using strategies, arent'ya!" she grins boldly. I roll my eyes at her, as I take a quick scan of the entire tea shop, realizing it's filled with only older people, then looking down at my already cold ginger and honey flavored tea.

"I think my tea tastes like rain water," Lin blurts out, sitting adjacent of us, a grumpy look on her face.

"What?!" Mia exclaims. "You haven't even tried it yet, they serve the best tea here."

"So, you're a regular here now?" I question, taking a bite out of my cream filled donut, giving Mia the eyes.

"Uh," she hesitates. "I just happen to know that their tea here is great." She blurts.

"And Starbucks the other day?" I raise my eyebrows, arching it at her.

"Uh, pff! We went with my cousin, he's the beverage freak."

I cock my eyebrows, trying to digest all her words, but it doesn't seem to be working. "Mia," I call out sweetly, "Do you suddenly have an affinity for tea and cute little mugs," I pout babyishly at her, then tugging her slightly, "Just like I predicted you will?" knowing fully well Mia hates to admit she has a soft side.

"No, yuck! That doesn't have to do with anything." Mia insists. "And I don't-like-coffee!"

"Okay!" I say with my hands up in the air, accepting defeat instantly.

"You know, I haven't even seen salted tea till today!" Lin grumbles. "What does salt have to do with tea?"

"Take it easy, Lin. Not everyone's a fan of fancy beverages," I shrug my shoulders at Lin and then back at Mia. "Except for Mia."

Mia winces, giving an obvious look, before turning back. "Violet!" she exclaims as I turn my stare to her, questioning her with my arched brows. "Your boyfriend's here." She murmurs as I turn my stare to meet Hunter - with his basic dark leather jacket, perfect gray eyes, perfect hair, perfect everything; walking into the shop.

I immediately pause, not knowing whether to run, stay still or just let nature take its course. I haven't even seen Hunter since like probably face-timing in Hawaii - I've been so preoccupied, I cannot believe I forgot I had a living boyfriend.

"Relax, munchkin!" Mia spits out. "Last time I checked, boyfriends don't bite."

"Wait! That - is your boyfriend?!" Lindsey calls out, rather loudly.

"Shhhh!" Mia and I both whisper.

"Why are we whispering?" Lin whispers back once more.

"Because you're shouting, and I don't want to get Hunter's attention." I explain.
