Chapter Seven

     Ilang araw na ba siya sa Subic? Hindi niya na mabilang kung ilang araw na dahil kahit siya ay hindi pa nakikita ang umaga. What happened is, she ended up sleeping the whole day and awake during night. Hindi naman siya natatakot dahil… dahil wala lang. Wala siyang pakialam kung anuman ang mangyari sa kanya kapag nasa labas siya at naka-upo sa buhangin tapos nakaharap sa dagat at hinihintay na mapagod siya sa pag-iyak at babalik sa bahay at matutulog.

     Noong una ay kinaya pa niya, she didn’t cried at all she just stayed out during that night and look at the darkness of the sea. Pero kalaunan ay nagbroke down na siya. She keeps on crying at kahit na sabihin niyang be strong ay hindi niya makaya.

     “Mom… dad…” she whispered. “Why? Bakit niyo ako iniwan? Bakit? You just leave me alone and you never come back.” She asked at the dark horizon. “Hindi niyo ba ako mahal?”

     She was twelve years old when her parents gone missing. Wala silang relative sa London just her and her parents. Masaya pa siya noong umagang iyon habang nagpapaalam sa kanila, it was kinda weird actually because it seems like the most perfect morning of all.

     Her mom woke her up with cuddle and kisses telling her to get up for school. Her father is already up and making her favorite pancakes and her blueberry muffin and of course her favorite orange juice freshly squeeze. And those bacon and hams that she loves very much. Everything is so perfect as she kissed and hug them good bye for school.

     When she got home from school which is kind a late than usual because she still have some school works to finish she haven’t seen her parents. At first she thought they just went out for shopping because it is also past their working hours at nakauwi na sila dapat. She waited… she waited for an hour pero wala siyang narinig na ingay ng sasakyan. She waited again for another three hours hindi na niya pinansin ang gutom niya pero wala pa rin sila. Nag-aalala na sila dahil hindi naman ganoon ang mga magulang niya. Tumatawag sila kapag late na silang umuuwi, she tried calling them through their mobile phones.

     But no avail… she tried not panic until she fell asleep on the couch. Nang magising siya ay wala pa rin sila, doon na ako umiyak. I asked help from the police pero umabot nalang ng ilang taon hindi niya pa rin nakita ang mga magulang niya. And she lose hope… and that news that broke her.

     And with that small phone conversation changed her life forever. Nang dahil sa balitang iyon nawalan na siya ng ganang mabuhay dahil para saan pa at nabuhay siya? At dahil sa balitang iyon mas lalo niyang nakilala ang sarili niya at ang mga taong nakakasama niya. yes, they care for you and they will love you unconditionally pero hindi sila pamilya. May buhay silang dapat pagtuunan ng pansin, totoo nga sa hirap ng kagipitan pamilya lang ang makakapitan and too sad she doesn’t have one.

     How pathetic huh?

     “I hate you!” she murmured and Jax fuming face enters her mind and suddenly her heart clenched in pain. Shit! It really hurts like hell.

     Nang matuyo na ang mga luha niya ay tumayo na siya, she felt so tired all of a sudden from all those crying and thinking. Her heart is very stressed right now. She opened Raj’s mansion at kahit madilim ay hindi siya nag-abalang magbukas ng ilaw. Pero hindi na pala kailangan dahil kusa na iyong umilaw kaya nasilaw siyang bigla.
