"i got everything i wanted"

plot: its christmas !!

Dan and Phil we're sat at their fireplace on the evening of Christmas Day, drinking hot cocoa. For once they decided that instead of going off to see their families, they'd spend their first Christmas as boyfriends together.

Dan asked out Phil 9 months ago, and he decided that they take the next step in their relationship.

Phil sighs and lays his head on Dan's shoulder, "I'm so glad we spent this Christmas together, I got everything I wanted, it was by far the best Christmas ever." Phil smiles and pecks Dan on the lips.

Dan giggles, "Everything? Are you sure?"

Phil looks at Dan, confused, he asks "Yes, of course I'm sure. Why?"

"Well," Dan stares into Phil's bright blue eyes, "I got everything I wanted too but.."

"But what?" he places a hand on Dan's knee.

Dan takes a shaky breath in, "Phil, you are my world. I cannot believe I am lucky enough to have somebody as amazing as you, because I'm not that special, but you make me feel special. You make me feel like I matter and I'm so lucky. You are the best thing that ever happened to me, Phil, and I love you so so so much. But, I still am missing one thing..."

Phil "What do you mean?"

"I'm missing a fiancé, so, Phil.."

"Oh my god," Phil puts a hand over his mouth

Dan pulls a box out of his pocket, "Will you marry me?"

Phil tackles Dan in a hug, spilling hot cocoa everywhere in the process, Dan laughs "Phil!"

"Of course I'll marry you!" Phil smiles and peppers kisses all over Dan's face before capturing his lips in a meaningful one.

Dan smiles, "C'mon, we gotta clean this up."

And when they fell asleep that night, side by side, they couldn't be happier.

This was the best Christmas ever.
