Strange Truth

"WHAT!", Me and Adam yelled. "Yeah, guess I should've told you sooner.", said Mitch. Me and Adam looked at each other in total shock. "Mitch, this is a prank right?", asked Adam. "No, sorry.", he replied. I didn't say a word. How could this be?, I thought. "Why didn't you tell is sooner!", I yelled at Mitch. "I'm 25 now! When me and Adam met I was 12! That was 13 years ago! The perfect time to tell us!" "I thought it would be a lot for you to handle.", said Mitch. "Well, if you would've done it in the time periods of when we met to like 10 minutes later, we would've gotten it over with!", yelled Adam. "How did you even find out?!", I yelled at Mitch. He gave me a note. "Dear Ruth," it read. "I know you probably won't find this, but I have something important to say. You and Adam, are siblings. Yes, siblings. I hope you find this soon enough. Love, Mom." I slapped Mitch. "Where and when odd you find this!", I yelled. "When we were minecon, your mom slipped me the note. I could barely take it in myself. As soon as I read it, I knew it wasn't right to show you then.", explained Mitch. "So you waited until 13 years after!", I yelled. "I'm going to become deaf if you guys keep yelling at me.", complained Mitch. My amulet was flashing like crazy. I was so confused. But it was dangerous for my amulet to be flashing like that. I started to hyperventilate. "Woah, Ruth calm down.", said Mitch. Then, my eyes went black. I woke up in my bed. Mitch and Adam were by my side. "I had the weirdest dream.", I said. "That wasn't a dream.", said Mitch. I slapped Mitch again. "Will you stop!", he yelled. I laid back down in my bed. "So, we're actually brother and sister.", I said. "Guess so.", said Adam. Mitch started to leave the room. "Get your butt back here.", I said. "We're not finished with you. You didn't tell us soon enough, so we need to do something." Mitch started to run out of the room. Adam went after him. He came back dragging Mitch by the collar. The held Mitch's hands behind his back. "What are you going to do?", asked Mitch. He didn't seem scared. I huffed and turned into my fire self. Mitch then turned scared. "Ok guys, I know it was a bad decision to not tell you sooner," started Mitch. "But you don't have to do this." I walked up closer to Mitch. He struggled to get out of Adams grasp, but he had him tight. I put a fireball in my hand, and threw it at Mitch. Adam let him go. He flailed around on the ground. "Serves you right.", I said, turning back into myself. My amulet was now back to normal. We walked out of the room with Mitch still flailing on the floor. "So," started Adam. "We're siblings." "Yeah.", I said. We didn't know how to react. "Umm," started Adam. "Maybe we're twins." "I'm 9 years younger than you.", I said. ( we're in the future so... ). "Good point.", said Adam. We looked over the balcony. I had a flashback. It was Mitch. He held me above the balcony. He then dropped me. I was screaming, and Ty caught me. I was shaking like crazy, in my flashback and in real life. Adam came to my side. "Maybe it's best we don't go on the balcony.", he said leading me inside. We just sat down on the couch. It was really awkward. Just looking around the room. "So, Caleb, Ella, and J. ( All my real life siblings ) would be my siblings too?", asked Adam. "I guess so.", I said. "Too bad their all dead.", said Adam. "Yeah.", I said. We had more awkward silence. Ty and Jason ran down the stairs. "Guys!", said Ty. "Mitch is flailing on the floor!" "Thank you captain DUH!", I said. "I shot him with a fireball no big woop." "But he's hurting badly!", said Jason. I started to sweat. "And there's a huge mark!", said Ty. We ran upstairs. Mitch had stopped flailing, but also stopped moving. I put my hands over my mouth. "What have I done.", I whispered. I ran out to the balcony. Jason came after me. I started to climb over the balcony. I wanted to die. Jason caught me before I could fall. "Are you crazy?!", he asked. "My fires self is too OP.", I said. "Well, just try to shut it down.", said Jason. "Perfect.", I said. I took off my amulet and opened it. It seemed easy. Inside I found a bunch of small balls of light. Each a different color. I grabbed the red one and pulled it out. It went back inside. It looked like it ran. I pulled it back out again. It went back in. I pulled it out again, and closed my amulet. The ball of light seemed to absorb inside of me, and then I saw flames. Nothing but flames.

Jason's POV

Ruth stood up, and looked at me. She had flames as her eyes. I backed up. She turned into her fire self. "I'm not leaving her.", said Ruth. But I knew it wasn't Ruth. "I'm never leaving her.", said the fire self. She ran into the house. I picked up the amulet, and followed her. She ran into the room everyone was in. Everyone backed up to the wall. I jumped on her back, and she fell to the ground. "Let go!", she yelled. I looked at the amulet. I opened it up, and pointed it at Ruth. The fireball went back into the amulet. Ruth lay there on the floor. "You ok?", I asked. No answer. I put the amulet around Ruth's neck. She started to cough. "This is so confusing.", I said. "If we try to take out something, it will take over her. But if we don't take something out, it will still take over her." "What are we going to do?", asked Ruth. I just looked at her. I didn't know. She started to cry. Adam came to her side. "I'm going to turn into a monster.", sobbed Ruth. "We won't let that happen.", said Mitch. "Promise." She stopped crying, and smiled at Mitch. She hugged him. "Then how are we going to stop it?",asked Ruth. "This amulet is my life source. If I don't have it, I'll die. But if I do have it, parts of it will take over me." She took off her amulet and opened it. "There's a red one, fire, a black one, Nightmare, blue one, ice, and a green one, Earth.", explained Ruth. "What do they look like?", asked Alex. "We've never seen you as anything but fire." "I don't know.", said Ruth, closing her amulet and putting it back on. "We need to find a way to stop them from taking over.", said Ruth. We all thought about it. "I got it.", said Ty. "I know who we need to see."
