Ruth's POV

I woke up with a hand over my mouth. My eyes quickly scanned the room. It was filled with agents. Adam wasn't awake. They dragged me out of the house. I watched as they dragged Jordan outside. He was just as terrified as I was. We now had our mouths tied with cloth. We were dragged into the Aperture Science Facility trucks, and driven away. I watched as tears streamed down Jordan's face. We're never going to see them again, I thought. I closed my eyes, as tears streamed down. We were taken into a room that looked just like the one we were in before. I sat next to Jordan again. I looked out a caged up window. It was morning. I wondered how upset Adam and Cierra would be. I sobbed, and Jordan tried to comfort me. I couldn't be comforted. Without my brother withe me, there's nothing that could make me happy. Nothing at all. I called out for one of the agents. He came up to the door. "Can we talk?", I asked. He got a few agents in the room for protection. "These powers are not for harming.", I explained. "They're for self defense. There are people out there who want to hurt us. How are we going to defend ourselves? And also, these lights are like life source. If we don't have at least one, we'll die." I started getting mad. "This is a curse!", I yelled. "It's not our fault we have these! It's how we live! And if you are going to keep me locked up, away from my brother, the most important person in my life, then you are the most twisted evil person I've ever seen. You need to understand, we don't mean to harm anyone! We can control it! If you will just let us out!" "You are never going to see anyone outside this building.", said the agent. Tears started to stream down my face as I cuddled up next to Jordan. I then stopped. He sounded familiar. "Do I know you?", I asked. "I don't know.", he answered. "Do you?" He turned around. There was something about him that made me recognize him. "Wait," I said. "Chimneyswift?" "I haven't been called that in a long time.", said Chim ( short for chimneyswift ). "That's exactly what Jordan said.", I said. "That amulet looks just like...", started Chim. He stopped and shook his head. "Keep going.", I said. I knew he was going to say something about Adam."Sky.", he said. "His and my minecraft skin have similar amulets.", I said. "So nice to meet you in real life." "So nice to meet a.... what were they called again?", asked Chim. "Swifters.", I answered. "It's nice to know someone remembers.", said Chim. "Chim," I started. "We only use our amulets for defense, if someone wants to hurt us. Please you have to let us go. And, I'll be missing my brother." I stopped and smiled at Chim. I was thinking about his reaction to what I was going to tell him. "Adam is my brother.", I said. Chim's eyes went wide and he put his hand over his mouth. "Please," I pleaded. "I know Adam is so worried. You have to let us go, we promise not to hurt anyone. Please." Chim just looked at me. He frowned. A tear rolled down my cheek. "I'm never going to see Adam again.", I whined. "Not Mitch, not Jason, not Alex. I have to spend my life here in this stupid prison. Just because my powers have the ability to kill someone doesn't mean I'll do it." I went over to Jordan and dug my face in his chest. "Ruth.", I heard Chim say. "I promise, we are going to get you back to Adam. You and you're friend." I looked at him and he smiled at me. I hugged him. He took us out of the room and down the hall. We went outside and got in the truck. I sat down next to Jordan and he smiled at me. I couldn't stop smiling. I was so happy I didn't have to be taken away! Chim started to drive off.

Adam's POV

I was sobbing in my bed. "Adam, calm down!", said Cierra. I could tell she was upset too. "I can't calm down.", I said. "She's gone forever." We heard a knock at the door. I ran downstairs, almost tripping, and opened the door. There was Jordan and Ruth with one of the agents. I pulled Ruth away from h and got out my gun. "You're not going to take her!", I said. "Adam stop!", Ruth yelled. She stepped in front of me. "Are you crazy?", I asked. "Its Chim!", she said. I put my gun down. "Chim?", I asked. "Is it really you?" Chim nodded his head. I hugged him. "So nice to see you again.", I said. "But why did you take them away?" I pulled Ruth behind me again. "Because that's what we were ordered to do.", said Chim. "If I would've known I was taking a swifter away from one of my friends then I would've never done it." I looked at him angrily. "Adam.", said Ruth. "Don't be mad, we're ok." "Thanks," I said. "But you should be going now." I left the doorway. "Bye Chim.", said Ruth. I looked back, and she was hugging him. "Bye.", he said. Ruth went up to her room. I went up too. "I'm so glad you're ok.", I said. "Why wouldn't I be?", asked Ruth. Cierra came into the room. "Well, because we're being hunted anymore, you guys can go.", she said. "Ok.", said Ruth. We gathered our stuff and went to the door. "Jordan, you coming?", asked Ruth. "No," said Jordan. "I'm going to love here with Cierra." "Oh," said Ruth sadly. A tear rolled down her cheek. "Ok.", she said. "But I have something for you.", said Jordan. Ruth dropped her stuff and ran over to him. "What is it?", she asked. "Something special.", said Jordan.

Ruth's POV

I saw Jordan open up his amulet. He had three lights inside. He took a purple light out, and opened up my amulet and put it inside. "Jordan," I said. "This is your favorite one, the lightning." "I know.", said Jordan. "And that's why I'm giving it to you." I hugged him. "I've also added a flashback to it.", he said. "Of everything we've been through." "I'm going to miss you Jordan.", I said. "I'm going to miss you too.", said Jordan. We left the house, and got in the car. I looked out the window, and waved goodbye to Jordan. As I sat in the seat, I had the flashback Jordan was telling me about. So many good memories. The war, where we first met. The time when we were taken away. The second time that happened. As soon as the flashback ended, I started crying tears of joy. We got home, and everyone ran to me. They were happy I was ok. "Where's Jordan?", asked Mitch. I huffed, and turned into lightning. I had a purple shirt with a lightning bolt on it. My pants were purple jeans streaked with yellow stripes. My sneakers were purple with yellow laces. My hair was yellow and made shock sounds. "Isn't that Jordan's?", asked Ty. I nodded. "He gave it to me.", I said. "We're good friends."
