In the mourning, Ratchet wakes up, stretching his arms until he sees the note on the table and reads it,
"Meet me at the caves, I got a plan." Ratchet puts away the note and swims. He sees Alister and smiles.
"Good mourning, Ratchet. How's your rest?" asked Alister.
"It's good." said Ratchet.
"Where are you going?" asked Alister.
"Going to see Elaris...But I'll be back at night..." said Ratchet as he swims. Alister is confused about Ratchet going to see Elaris but he lets him go anyway.
At the caves, Ratchet swims and sees Nefarious sitting on a chair.
"Welcome, Ratchet." said Nefarious.
"Are you the one who wrote the note?" asked Ratchet.
"Yes, I heard that you had a thing for a Markazian is that correct?" asked Nefarious as Ratchet gasps.
"Y-Yes and I want to see her again!" Ratchet yelled.
"Well, you are in luck. I can make you a potion that will turn you into a Lombax for three days." said Nefarious.
"Three days?" asked Ratchet.
"Yes." said Nefarious.
Brax, Cora and Elaris peeked out of the rocks and gasps quietly to see Ratchet talking with Nefarious.
"Oh dear..." Clank said quietly.
"If I become a Lombax...I'll never be with my friends and Alister again..." said Ratchet.
"I know but you'll be just fine..." Nefarious reassured as Ratchet smiles a bit.
"But all I wanted from you is...Your voice..." Ratchet touches his throat.
"My voice?" asked Ratchet.
"Yes, Ratchet. No more talking, singing, silent!" said Nefarious.
"But without my voice how can I-" Ratchet gets cut off by Nefarious.
"You got your handsome body but it's time to get this transformation started!" Nefarious shouted as he makes ghostly like green hands.
"Sing, Ratchet." Nefarious told as Ratchet begin to sing which it causes his throat to glow.
"Keep singing!" Nefarious yelled as the ghostly hands went into Ratchet's mouth and took out his voice, which it is a glowing yellow orb and gets into Nefarious' red gem. Nefarious laughs manically as a bubble catches Ratchet. Ratchet tries to scream in pain but no sound came out of him, his tail splits into two legs and one Lombax tail. The bubble pops which Ratchet started to drown, having a hard time to breathe. Cora and Brax swam towards Ratchet and took him up to the surface. Ratchet lets out a quiet gasp when he pops his head out of the water. Cora and Brax helped Ratchet get to shore along with Clank and Elaris. Ratchet's body is numb after the transformation.
