Evangeline's POV
"ohh! but I'm not that old!! young!! but I'm not that bold!!" My best friend and twin brother, Joey and I screech out as we drive to his after school.
"Iiiiiiiii feel something so wro-"
"SCREEECH!!" A car swerves 10 meters in front of us cutting off both sides of the road making us break suddenly.
"Joey... what's going on."
"Tell you in a minute. Lock the doors after me." Joey says opening out the glove box in front of me and taking out a ornately carved dagger that is shaped in a curve.
"WHA-"
"Just do it" he says coldly interrupting me and stepping out the car. Quickly I lean across and lock the doors and windows just to be sure. Watching Joey slip the dagger away in a pocket he walks out to the car in front of us. What the hell is going on?!?
As Joey approaches the car in front of us, I peer through the windows looking for the driver who cut us off, I was expecting the driver to probably be drunk or dead by heart attack or something but instead, there was no one. Not one soul and I think Joey notices too as he goes to open the door
"Jo-" I was too late. Joey was thrown back a few metres as the small car rocketed sky-high blowing up everything within a 5 meters radius. All that reached me was a small wind.
"OH MY GOD!!!" I scream unlocking my door and running to tend to joeys fallen body to check if was alright. As I reached him a police car and ambulance turn up and run out their cars telling me to stand back and run away. As if in slow motion I turn to them just as the cars petrol tank blows up sending me flying, for a moment I felt weightless, free even. Then I came crashing back down to earth and all I saw was blurry people rushing to me as grey spots swam in front on my eyes and my world faded to black.

Sara's pov.
"Miss Westerfield? you have an assignment waiting at reception."
"Thanks" sighing I head down to reception to grab that big brown Manila folder telling who and where to find the next soon-to-be angel. I'm a guide. As in "angel that waits at the end of the tunnel" I'm supposed to help spiritlings, ghosts really, move on into the afterlife. Heaven is split in two for us. You have the born angels then the spirit angels born angels are what I am. We have angel pairs. Soul ages effectively. Spirit angels are ex-spiritlings and are still part human. Their part of heaven is the imaginitarian side. Where the spirit angels heaven is made in their heads. They think their heaven has unicorns - they get unicorns. Our side, the 'real' heaven hasn't really got a name apart from 'home'. It's much like earth minus corruption and danger. It's great but I find it a bit boring. No danger = no excitement. Which is why I became a guide. So I could the glimpses of the human world. I wait outside the interworld portal, what humans call 'the tunnel', read their memories and they choose whether to stay or go then I point them in the right direction. I'm fairly new so they only send me to look after the truest souls to point the way home. I love seeing those memories as if they were my own. Sometimes I wish I were human.
"Miss? miss?" snapping out of it I look up to see the small child-messenger angel in front of me trying to catch my attention. I tend to zone out a bit.
"Sorry, yes?"
"It's urgent"
