Cody
After many battles and a hard fought war, we finally got the idea of hiring a war medic to come into battle with us. It was the Professor's idea really. "Hey Cody." He started one day when I visited about the weapons. "We should get a healer." The scientist suggested. My eyebrow raised before I asked the questions.
"A healer? Don't we already have some of those? I even help out at the hospital from time to time." I had inquired. "Yes, a healer but a different kind. Mainly a War Doctor. Someone to make sure we take less damage in battles, or someone who can make us last longer in battles by tending to our wounds. That sort of thing." To be honest, the thought never crossed my mind. "Someone to heal during battle... That is a good idea..." I mused thinking about all of the battles we had gone through without someone to protect us. To think, with someone like that, we could lose less soldiers.
"Sounds like a great idea to me! I'll ask Rasmus about it!"
Later that day, I told him about it and he agreed. Before I knew it, he hired someone and they were already moving to Atlantis. To think, all this started off with one little suggestion.
"Cody!" Called the voice I knew all too well. "Professor! What are you doing here?" I asked him as he approached. "Well, you know. The new person is here? I thought I better visit them don't you think? " I froze. "Wait that was today?" He nodded slowly, chuckling. "Crap! I had no idea! Hold on, let me get some stuff, be there in a minute." I dashed to my room and collected some food and my spear before we set off.
When I was done, we headed out to meet them. We swam through the city, looking for a house that wasn't there before, passing several Atlanteans on the way there. I waved to some of them, normally getting one back. "So, what are they like?" I tried to ask him but he had no idea either. "You know nothing about them?" I tilted my head. "Well... I know they're a healer! Plus I wasn't the one to hire them. Rasmus did that." He pointed out as we arrived at the house.
The house was made up of the regular marble that all the other houses were made of except it was slightly bigger and seemed to have more red than any other color. Most of the other houses had a common theme of blue. The entrance had double doors with a window on each side. However, shades prevented me from peeking inside. Pikalis and I exchanged looks before I knocked on the door.
"Hold on!" A feminine voice called from inside. I gave the professor a look that said "That solves one mystery" and returned my gaze to the door right before it opened.
The new medic was clearly a hybrid of two animals; Human and Serpent. The top half of her was clearly a human female while the bottom half had a snake tail that trailed behind her. Her hair was long, wavy and a brown and blonde color, flowing behind her freely. The blue eyes pierced mine and seemed to study the both of us. The female wore a red flowing shirt that covered her human top half and even reached down to the snake half.
The snake half was pretty long, three feet maybe? It was hard to tell. It consisted of three colors: Black, red and yellow. They were in large horizontal stripes, black and red never touching, being blocked by yellow. There would be a long stripe of black, a thin one of yellow and then one of red, another thin of yellow and then it repeated all the way down to the tip of the tail.
