A few hours after I settled down with my coffee, and watched some news and regular T.V. I was called, Aaron, one of my old friends I had hung out with,
"Hey! you busy tonight dude?" I could hear excitement in his voice,
"Uhm, No, why?" I asked quietly, walking out of my living room to my kitchen once more,
"well! I wanted to know if you would join Sean and I?"
"Sure, what you guys doing?"
"Not sure yet, drive around? go see that new horror movie!"
"That sounds amazing!"
"Great, meet at that one mall you know the one?" he stumbled to find his words
"I know what one." I laugh, he laughed as well and hung up. the clock on my phone saying "12:10pm", and a text from Aaron telling me to meet them around 1:30pm. I put my cup into the sink, rinsing it out and the jumping into the shower. Getting out, putting a pair of jeans and a black shirt, quickly escaping my house to the car. "Alright.." I mumble under my breath, taking in the surroundings, tress scattered everywhere. Their color no longer green but red, orange and yellow. Relaxing. The wind blew a small pile of leaves, causing them to swirl up and fall peaceful. I turn my gaze away from the surroundings to start the car. As soon as it started I backed up, too focused on what had happened last night I heard squealing of car breaks and I slam on mine. My heart stopped for a moment as the other person honked their horn and flipped me off. "Jesus." I mutter and frown. I calmed down a little, the honk scaring me. I sigh, look and start backing up. "Just relax. You're fine. Spend time with the friends." I mumble, talking to myself.
The drive wasn't that long, before I knew it, I sitting down chatting with the guys.
"Have you guys heard on the news about some killer?" Aaron spoke, stuffing a cinnamon covered donut bite into his mouth.
"Killer? Around here? No way. " Sean spoke up "What does this 'killer' do?" He spoke, almost mocking Aaron. Aaron frowned
"I'm being serious." When he spoke a little bits of cinnamon fell out of his mouth. Disgusting, I thought. "They don't know who it is, or if its even human, but a few people around here found their loved ones behind the wall. pieces. I'm talkin body parts cut off dude, and nailed to the walls or inside their closets."
"That's disgusting!" Sean exclaimed as he took a drink of his soda, a cold cup of Pepsi.
"I know it is. The people say they didn't realize it until the smell hit them. Thought maybe it was a dead animal." Aaron's voice trailed on as I went into deep thought. Worried about my girlfriend. I wish I would of texted her right then.
"And another fuckedup part of it is they all seen this hand, a hand that looks like it's flesh is decayed, small flakes of old skin falling off, an-"
"Would you shut the hell up? I have kids right here and you're scaring them!" A rather tall skinny guy turned and whispered angerly at him, his dark brown eyes looking into Aaron's after he interrupted him. His kids, a young girl that looked around 5 or 6 had wide blue eyes and looked as if she was about to cry. Another kid, a boy, about 8 looked at his father as a tear rolled down his face "Dad...Is that going to happen to us?!" The little boy managed to mutter out
"No! It's not real. Don't listen to them." He got up, grabbing his kids hands "come on. How about we go to the play ground and get some ice cream?"
When he left Aaron looked back and laughed "Whoops. " he shrugged and tapped my shoulder. I jumped.
"Shit dude. You all right? It wasnt real. Just a couple of psychopaths that killed their family member."
Aaron raised an eye brow at me.
"No..Sorry. it wasn't that. I was just thinking." I manage to mutter out in a weak tone, though my blood ran cold when I heard him speak "How about...we go now." I say standing up "How about we check the game store?".
They nodded and stood up as well, as we threw our trash away and started walking.
