Chapter 4

"Noona, where are you going?" my half brother asked.

I look around to make sure no one is awake because of his loud voice.

"Can you shut up? If dad's gonna wake up because of you being noisy, im seriously going to kill you." I told him.

"It's already 9 in the evening. Where will you go? You know that it's too dangerous now." he said with his concerned face.

"It's none of your business Haechan. Go back to your room." instead of going in his room he seated at the chair and watch me tie my shoelace.

"All day long you just lock up yourself in your room. It's even the first time I've seen you this week." He said while eating his chips.

"Ooohh did my baby brother miss me?" I said with an aegyo voice.

"Shut up!" He stood up and went to the door of his room.

"You're not going to tell dad that I leave right?" I asked him.

He sighed "I don't wanna die yet. Im sure you will kill me if I would." He replied.

"Oooh that's why I love you." I stood up and walk quietly. I turn the knob of the front door silently.

"Noona, don't do stupid things ok? Keep safe!" then he went in his room.

That idiot really loves me. I hurriedly turn off the lights and close the door. I then run my way to the main road. I walk on the way to our hide out. It was just around the neighborhood. After a few minutes, I already arrived. I went in the room and saw the 4 of them sitting in the sofa with their arms crossed.

"So what happened last night?" Wendy asked.

"What happened?" I asked her. "We were together last night guys. Forget it?"

"What she mean is, what took you so long to go out from that convenience store?" Irene refrained the Wendy's question.

"Did you kiss again?" Yeri asked excitedly.

"Did he asked for your number? Where do you live? Or what's your snapchat?" Seulgi asked.

I seated at the sofa and said "Nothing particularly happened."

"Then what took you so long?" Wendy asked again.

"Well, he told me that I was cheating on my boyfriend." I replied.

"Taehyung?" all of them asked.

"Yeah, I told him Taehyung is not my boyfriend." I answered calmly.

"Then what did he say? What did he say?" Yeri excitedly asked.

"Aren't you just too excited Yeri-ah?" Irene said.

"Yes I am! Go unnie tell us." Yeri said.

"He said that..." I look at them and their expressions are like kids who finally had their favorite toy.

"What? What did he say?" Seulgi excitedly asked.

"Was I telling him that Taehyung is not my boyfriend so that we could continue dating." I answered.

All of them let out a mysterious smile.

"So both of you are officially dating?" Irene asked.

"Yaaahh that was nothing. Like, I didn't took it seriously tho. You said that you wanted to play that's why I also played. I consider that as a dare. I only know that guy's name." I said.

"But the game's consequence is to date and you lost. That's not just a dare." Wendy said.

"Ok were officially dating. You guys happy now?" I told them.

They all laugh.

"His name is Sungjae right?" Yeri asked.

I nod.

"But why did Sungjae said that he was just joking when V said 'But she's mine hyung'." Yeri said while copying Taehyung deep voice.

"And why did V said that?" Seulgi asked.

"Are the 2 of you secretly dating again?"Irene asked.

"No. He was just assuming. When I broke up with him, he said that I am still his even if I will have a new boyfriend. He said that if I had a new one, he will definitely kill him." I replied.

"Isn't that too much?" Wendy asked

"I don't care about him tho. Just let him do what he want." I answered.

"Wendy-ah, you said that you remember who Sungjae is. You know him before?" Irene asked Wendy this time.

"I just knew him because of Suga. When we were still dating he told me about this guy who they save from death. Then he showed me his picture." Wendy begun the story about that cashier guy.

"Oh right! Minhyuk said that he thought that Sungjae died." Yeri said.

"He was part of Born To Beat before." Wendy said.

"WHAT!?" all of us shouted.

"Calm down ladies. Let me finish. Suga said that he dated Minhyuk's younger sister." Wendy said.

"But Minhyuk's younger sister is already dead, 4 years ago." Irene explained.

"Mina died because she was raped and torture right?" Seulgi asked.

"Yes and Minhyuk blamed Sungjae because of Mina's death." Wendy said.

"Why?" all of us asked at the same time.

"Because the ones who killed Mina was Sungjae's enemies. They couldn't take their revenge on Sungjae because of his team BtoB. That's why they take Mina instead." Wendy explained.

"Bangtan boys and Born To Beat are great enemies right? Why did they still help Sungjae? Aren't it be more advantage for them because BtoB will be fewer this time?" I asked.

"They didn't know that it was Sungjae. They just saw a floating body in the lake. Suga said they didn't recognized him because his face was really crashed and he has bruises all over his body. They immediately call 911 and they thought that he was already dead." Wendy explained.

"What was their reaction when they find out that it was Sungjae?" I asked.

"They didn't felt anger. They really pity him. Suga said that Sungjae couldn't even talk because of his wounds. He just wrote what he wanted to say to them before he leaves." Wendy said.

"Before he leave?" Yeri asked.

"He was treated in the states. He had many broken bones that time and the doctors suggested that he must go to states so that he will be operate there. And so that he could also move on from his traumatizing experience." Wendy explained.

"What did he said to them?" Seulgi asked.

"Suga said that Sungjae wrote 'Thank you very much for saving my life. I owe my life to you guys. I promise to recover faster. You guys keep safe always. Keep your circle close and never open it to anyone because they might harm you. I will repay the good things that you guys have done to me someday. I'll see you soon, brothers. Always keep safe!" Wendy explained.

"Didn't know that guy went to life and death experience." I said.

"That explains why he was really good at fighting." Irene said.

"When Born to Beat saw him, they thought it was a ghost." Yeri said.

"It's because they all thought that he already died. They didn't have any news about him. The ones who only know that he still alive was bangtan boys. And it's been also 4 years since he disappeared. After Mina's death was also the time when Btob planned to kill him." Wendy explained.

"Yah enough with that aren't you guys hungry?" Seulgi asked.

"Why are you going to treat us?" I asked.

"Yes." Seulgi said while holding her credit card. "So what do you wanna eat?"
