"How could you deny me infront of many people!?" I asked Sungjae after I slapped his face.

He stared at me and his expression turns into serious. "Are you dumb?"

I was shocked on his question then I fake laugh. I slapped him again in the face. "How dare you!?" I shouted at him.

We were outside my house. It's already midnight. The streets are so quiet and my voice was really loud.

"You are really dumb." He paused. "Do you even know what those guys could do to you? You're upset because I denied you infront of your friends. Do you know why I did that?" He said.

I didn't answer him. I just look at him. I felt a tear drop from my eyes.

"Do you why I did that!?" He shouted. I was taken aback because it's the first time that he shouted at me. "I did that to protect you from them! Did you hear what Minhyuk said? You don't know them Joy. They could kill you if they want to." Tears began to fall from his eyes

"I-I am so-sorry. Im really sorry." I said then I hug him.

He escaped from my embrace. "Let's break up." He calmly said while wiping his tears.

My eyes went wide. "Wha-what did you say?"

"Let's break up before things will get worse. I don't want you to be dragged into my hell world. Btob will never stop unless they couldn't take their revenge. I think it's better for us to stop everything so that you won't be part of this mess." Sungjae said.

I was confused. "I don't understand you. You're breaking up with me because of that damn reason? Are you crazy!? After I gave you everything. My heart, soul, and even my fucking virginity! And now, btob came and tried to scare the shit out of you and you give up right away? Is it that easy for you to let go of things!?"

"I lost Mina because I couldn't protect her. Now---"

"You can't protect me too!?" I asked.

He sighed. "I thi-think I couldn't protect you."

My tears are rapidly falling from my eyes. "Be a man Sungjae-yah."

"I don't know what I will do if you will be gone. It hurts like hell when I saw the girl that I love the most buried under the ground. And I can never forgive myself if that will happen to you. I don't know what to do if I lost the girl that I love the most AGAIN." He said while crying. "It was never my intention to break your heart. I know you gave me everything but you don't deserve someone like me Joy. You deserve someone better than me. Someone that can protect you from everything." He wipe his tears then he hug me. "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. But I think this will be the best decision for the both of us. I will fix this mess by my own. I don't want you to be part of this mess." Then he kissed me. "I will always love you Joy. Always and forever." Then he kissed me in the forehead. "I'm sorry." He whispered then he began to walk away from me.

I watch his figure walking away from me until he was out of my sight. I went in our house and I immediately went into my room. I cried until I fell asleep.

"Yah why are your eyes so bloated?" Wendy asked.

"Did you cry last night?" Yeri asked.

"Did something happened to you and Sungjae?" Irene asked.

Tears began to fall from my eyes.

"Yah why are you crying? Are you okay?" Seulgi asked.

"We broke up." I told them while sobbing.

"What!?" The four of them shouted.

"Why unnie?" Yeri asked.
