Jack walked calmly back to his house saving his anger for the storm that was comming. He opened the front door to see his mother sitting on the couch reading a magazine happily as if she had not caused a large problem.

But before Jack could let out his rage she spoke. "I have gathered most of Mark's things but if you can find anything else just put it in the box in the kitchen." Surprised and angry he walked in the kitchen and saw a box full of Mark's belongings. Chalk bags for climbing and dog toys along with numerous pictures of Jack and Mark. Filling with more anger he stormed upstairs.

Reaching under his matress he pulled out a small wooden box. Inside was a good amount of money Jack had saved up over the years. Jack's orginal plan for the money was when he was ready he would pay for an apartment for him and Mark. The plan hadn't changed except it was coming sooner than expected.

He shoved the box in a sports bag along with different sets of clothes and his phone charger. He looked around the room for anything he might need. He stuffed a few random items in the bag them zipped it up. He then felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He expected Felix or his mother but was surprised that it was Marzia.

Marzia-
Hey Jack?

Jackaboy-
Yea?

Marzia-
So, when are you gonna talk to Mark? We all know that you have a huge crush on him and its driving Felix crazy. If you haven't told him because your guys then that's absolutely ridiculous.

Jack's eyes widened in surprise. Was it that obvious? He almost didn't know what to say. He sighed knowing that she wouldn'tstop texting him until he answered her questions. Marzia was determined.

Jackaboy-
It's not that were both guys. I wouldn't care....

Marzia-
But?

Jackaboy-
It's the fact he is a companion. I looked it up and no one's ever fallen in love with their companion like I have. Companions have fallen in love with other companions, but never with their masters.

Marzia-
Ah. So not only have you fallen in love with Mark but you've looked companion relationships up. Man, this is more serious than I thought....

Jack facepalmed realizing what he had wrote. He went to type a response when he heard he mother talking on the phone downstairs. He filled with anger once again and looked back down at his phone.

Jackaboy-
Okay, as serious as this issue is I have a more important. My mom is being rude to Mark and I am done with it. Can we stay and you and Felix's place until I can find an apartment?

Marzia-
Of course! We do have an extra room you guys can stay in.

Jackaboy-
Okay thank you so much. I'll be over in a bit.

Marzia-
:) okay!

Jack smiled at Marzia's kindness and grabbed his bag walking down the stairs. His mother was not in sight so he picked up the box and hid most of the item in his closet. He did take a few things for Mark including his flannel shirt that he had had for years and refused to get rid of.

He wrote a note to his mother saying that he was okay and how she had no right to be mean to Mark. He also wrote how he was 18 and could legally move out.

Feeling satisfied he left the note on the counter and walked to the door. Maybe he didn't have to have a fight with his mother. "Excuse young man, where are you going? I just called the Rouge Compaion Control and they said they would be willing to pick up Mark tomorrow morning."

"What?! Why did you contact the R.C.C.? Mark isn't rouge! And we're not getting rid of him!" Jack had never been as mad at someone as he was now.

"Well you live in my house so-"

"Actually I'm moving out! I found an apartment and Mark and I will be living there from now on."

His mother's eyes furrowed with anger. As she yelled her shiny dark brown curls bounced on her shoulders.

"Well good! I won't have to deal with such an awful companion in my house."

"MARK IS AN AMAZING COMPANION AND IF YOU WANT TO TAKE HIM YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE ME TOO!"

Jack's eyes were now full of tears. They ran down his cheeks and into his mouth. Before his mother could respond he sprinted to Felix's house.

-

Mark sat laughing on the couch when he felt a new presence nearby. On instinct he transformed and walked to the door. His ears were perked up and he pawed at the door. Marzia quickly walked to the door and opened it. Mark rushed down the steps and looked around. He then saw Jack running towards the house, eyes full of tears. He barked loudly and ran to him.

Jack looked up and smiled. As soon as they reached each other Jack dropped to his knees and hugged Mark to him. He then smoothed out the fur on the top of his head and kissed it. If he could Mark would have been blushing like crazy. They stood up and walked to the house.

Mark could feel so many emotions from his beloved master. Sadness, anger, and joy to see Mark. As he walked down the sidewalk he felt Jack's heart lift and shine. It was an amazing feeling to feel your master happy.

Marzia and Felix were extremely supportive of them moving in and told them they could stay as long as they needed.

That night they were playing Mario Kart with out a care. Marzia quietly stood up and tapped Jack's shoulder, and motioned for him to follow her into the kitchen. When they were out of earshot (which was not difficult with Mark screaming at the stupid controls) Marzia turned to Jack, a smug grin on her face.

"I saw that kiss. Your getting closer to being a non-platonic relationship." Jack stuttered, blushing furiously. This only made Marzia smile wider. "You can say what you want Jack, but your crush isn't getting any less obvious." With another smile she started to walk out of the kitchen.

"Then why doesn't he see that I like him?" Jack looked down at the floor sadly. Marzia turned around and patted his shoulder. "Maybe he is just as afraid as you are."

With that she left Jack to his own thoughts.
