Barry Allen ... Jealous?

"So did you want me to run you to Belly Burger , or do you just want to drive."  Barry said with a smile . "You can run me to Belly Burger because it will be faster . " Caitlin said as she arrived in Belly Burger  within 40 seconds. Caitlin fixed her hair and waited in line with Barry . They waited a few minutes in silence until it was time to order . They stole a few glances during that time . They then ordered what they usually got and went to an open booth.

"So I just wanted to talk about us . If that's okay with you?" Barry said looking into her eyes with a smile. "Yeah what about us."Caitlin said as she raised her right eyebrow . "Well we're dating right . I just wanted to make sure. I really like you Caitlin , and if you don't want to be with me I don't want it to ruin our friendship. " Barry said trying to hold back tears. " Woah Barry are you about to cry. " Caitlin said trying to hold back her laugh. "What no why would you say that ." Barry said as he sniffled and straightened his posture trying to gather himself . "Well I kind of was waiting" Caitlin said before she could finish. "What could you be waiting for ." Barry said as a thought came to him . "It's a guy isn't it" Barry said with a little anger . "So tell me who's this guy . " Barry said as he looked into her eyes . That look gave her the chills . "Well .. umm" Caitlin said confident that he didn't know she liked him and only him . "Come on Caitlin I can take it . " Barry said waiting impatiently for her to respond . Caitlin was thinking of what to say when the food order was called . "I'm going to go get that I'll be back." Barry said insinuating that the conversation was not over . Barry got the food and got back to the table . At this point he just wanted to know already. He was looking at her to respond to what he asked before. She thought she should just say it was him , but she thought it was cute that he was jealous and wanted to play with him . "Well he's this really handsome guy , he's tall , his smile could light up the room, he is an amazing person , he loves to help people, he likes to run , and he makes me smile . I could go on ." Caitlin said smiling because she was proud of her response. She could see the jealously in his eyes . She was getting a kick out of this . She had to hold back the outburst of laughing . "Well he seems like a jerk and I want to meet him." Barry said with a  slight tone of anger. Caitlin just smiled and looked at him . "Barry I'm just playing with you . I'm talking about you . I thought it would be funny to see how this played out." Caitlin said laughing as she looked in his eyes to see what he was thinking , but couldn't tell. He started off being mad , but he just started laughing after a few seconds of being mad. "Pftt I knew that I was just playing along. " Barry said as he was still laughing . He remembered what she said about him and that made him happy that she thought all of those things . "So do you really think all of those things" Barry said as he took a bite of his food. "Well yeah i do . Before when you asked me if we're dating you didn't give me time to respond . I was going to say you haven't asked me out yet . " Caitlin said as she checked her watch to see what time it was . "Oh well would you like to be my girlfriend and go out on a date with me." Barry said with his charming smile . "Yes I would love to." Caitlin said with a smile . They finished the meal and left the building . "Hey I just wanted to say that I was sorry for not letting you respond . I guess I just jumped to conclusions because you're amazing and I don't want to lose what we have."Barry said as he looked at her waiting for a response. "It's ok Barry I thought it was cute how you got jealous . " Caitlin said laughing . "Pfft I was not " Barry said as he was admiring  her laugh . "You know Caitlin I'm glad you're mine because I was actually jealous . You make me the best me I can be . "Barry said as he reached out to hold her hand . She put her hand in his and it fit perfectly . It was like his hand was made just for her . "Everything is perfect and I never want this moment to end . I know to well when something really good happens it comes crashing down . Just promise me that you'll not give up on us no matter what . " Caitlin said holding back a river of tears . "I'm not going to give up on us. I won't let us crash down . I will do whatever it takes to keep you safe and happy ." Barry said as he took his pinky and latched it around hers .
