Chapter 1

"Mom, I need to breath! It's been 2 hours since we left the airport and you're still squeezing the life out of me. I missed you too, but in this case I won't be able to return with you guys home alive."

"It's not my mistake I missed you so so so much, baby girl," she said, sobbing.

I sighed, then hugged her again, "I missed you too mom, I missed you too."

It's been 3 years since I saw her last. Yes, we used to communicate via Skype and all but that was it. My parents have moved to South California 3 years ago along with my twin brother and my other younger brother. I decided to stay with my 24 years old brother in London, but after 1 whole year of Mom begging me to come live with them, I finally gave in and agreed to. Apparently my parents had to move on to California in order to join up with some pack and become more powerful. I don't see why, though. Our pack in considered one of the most powerful packs around the world. No, I'm not a werewolf as some of you might think. I'm actually thought to be a rare case. Both my parents are werewolves but I ended up being human. Why? That's a question I don't have an answer to. Not that I care actually. Yes, I used to get teased at school because of this but I stood up for all those losers that used to tease me about it one day and after that no one dared to tease me again. Yes, they feared me. You might think I'm joking but I'm not, actually. Yes, I'm human, but being trained by my dad, who is an Alpha, my two older brothers, who are also Alphas leading 2 packs one in Australia and the other back in London, and finally my twin brother who is the future Alpha of the Dark Night pack, no one dared to say a word to me again. Pretty badass right?

So, after 2 hours and a half of driving, we finally arrived our destination. And let me say, the house is freakin' big. It's much bigger than our house back in London. It's a 4 story tall building which look like it has came out of a magazine cover. Quite modern to say the least. Simple yet beautiful.

Mom chuckled after seeing my awestruck face."Beautiful. Isn't it?"

I nodded, still eyeing the mansion.

"You wouldn't want to stand there and admire it all day would you?" I heard a voice to my left saying.

"Dad!" I exclaim, running as fast as I can and wrapping my arms around him and hugging him too tight that if he hasn't got all that muscle he would have just crumbled.

"Aww, look at my little chubby Lana! Haven't she grown?" He says, chuckling.

"She did, old man," I struck my tongue out at him.

He laughed at my childish behavior.

"Now, now where's my beloved twin and cute little brother? Haven't they missed their only sister already?"

"Noah's at school, darling. Jake, however is on some pack business trip to the Blood Moon's pack. He'll be back tomorrow, you'll see him at school," My mom said, sounding somewhat apologetic.

"It's okay, Mom. Really. I'll see him tomorrow. I've waited for 3 years already, might as well wait one more day. It won't hurt," I say, reassuring her.

"Oh how we missed you baby girl," both my parents say at the same time. I swear they're just creepy sometimes. Even more creepy than Jake and I.

I laughed, "I missed you guys too!"

After one more group hug, we decided to head inside."So you guys live here alone?"

"Oh no, we live with the pack. Not only our pack but the Light Moon's pack as well. They're the pack I've joined my pack with, if you're questioning. Their Alpha is actually a close friend of mine and a great ally. Their future Alpha is on that pack business trip with Jake," My father replied.
