Chapter 2
The next morning I woke up at 7 AM, I had just enough time to get ready for school. I groaned, knowing that I had to get up from this comfortable bed.
And so I got up and took a nice, hot shower and then blow dried my hair. I decided to wear a pair of denim jean shorts and a cute tank top. I know I have so much in common with boys, I'd rather play COD than go shopping with mom, I eat a lot even more than most guys but when it comes to clothes, I'm kind of like most girls. I have to wear like girls or else Mom would chop me to pieces. If it were up to me, I would just hang around in my sweats and an oversized shirt. I like it simple.
I applied some cherry lip gloss and then grabbed my bag and my Ipod and went downstairs. I looked at my watch and the time read 7:30. I still had enough time to eat breakfast then walk to school. I went to the kitchen and made some eggs and bacons for myself along with pancakes. Well, kidding. Not some, a lot. I'm actually good at cooking. Me and Michael, my oldest brother inherited our skill from Mom. So after finishing all of the food I made and making sure not on crumb is left, I headed out. The school is only 10 minutes away so it'll not take long for me to arrive there. I plugged my earphones in and kept on bobbing my head up and down to the rock music. Yes, rock is my favorite type of music. I'm not the Justin Bieber or One direction kind of girl. Not that there's something wrong with them, but I prefer rock. Paramore, The Cab, Mayday Parade and many others.
After exactly 10 minutes I was infront of a building which I assumed to be my new school. It didn't look much different than my school back home, although it's bigger. I took a deep breath and walked in. Let the senior year begin, bitches. The moment I walked in all head turned towards me. And me being me, ofcourse I looked everyone back in the eye. There were those whom I already know from my pack smiling at me. I smiled back at them. There were also other people I didn't recognize. Some girls were already giving me the stink eye. I raised my eyebrows at them but didn't say anything. At least not until they start first. Fair enough. I heard some wolf whistles and looked around to see some boys were sending me flirtatious smiles. I just laughed and smiled back. Well not flirtatiously.
"Hey, Lana!" I turned to my left to see Sandy walking towards me.
"Sandy, What's up?" I said, smiling at her.
"You know I envy you for your British accent, right?" She said while giving me a playful glare.
"Baby I was born this way, you can't blame me!" I said raising my hands up in surrender.
She laughed, "Aren't you going to fetch your schedule?"
"Yeah I was actually going to, but I saw you coming towards me. Wanna come along? If you don't mind of course."
"I don't, let's go!"
We entered the office and were greated by a pretty blonde lady who looked in her mid 30's.
"You must be our new student, Lana isn't it?" She asked smiling at me.
"Yes, ma'am." I said politely.
"Well Lana, I'm Mrs. Jackson and this is your schedule for this academic year and this is your locker key," She said handing me a paper which I assumed is my schedule and a key.
"Thank you Mrs. Jackson," I say smiling at her then took both the key and the paper and left.
The moment we were out of the office, Sandy snatched the paper out of my hand.
"Hey!"
