Proposition and Apology

Riley's POV

I looked at the clock, that was hanging on the wall in front of me.
3 pm.

Today I spent my morning talking with Emily on the phone.
Then I slept a little and now I was looking around and waiting for the time to pass.

Tomorrow I could leave the hospital, but till then I had to wait.
It was so boring.
I had no one I could talk to.

Suddenly the door opened and James came in.
When he opened the door the only feeling I felt was anger.
How could he come back as if nothing had happened.
He had the choice and he chose to leave me for Megan.

"Riley", he said coming closer to me.
"What are you doing here?", I asked annoyed.
"Riley I know that I left, but I was confused...", he tried to excuse himself, but I interrupted him.
"Yes you left and by leaving this room you left my life.
I'm so sick of always forgiving you. After the thing with Beth I told myself that I wouldn't forgive you a second time, but I did, because I'm stupid, but I think I am not that stupid to forgive you another time.
So please could you leave me alone", I yelled at him.

He took another stop forward, so that the only thing that separated us was the bed and then he took my hand.
Immediately I took my hand of his.
"Riley", he said trying to get my attention, but I just turned to the other side of the bed ignoring him.

"Leave or I scream", I threat him still facing the other wall.
It was quiet and then he agreed:"Alright, I'm sorry".
Then he left.

A tear ran down my cheek, but just one.
The last tear that I would ever cry for James.

Mum : And you're sure that we shouldn't come back?
Riley : Yes, I am sure I know how important this offer is for you two.
I am fine I just take a bus it's fine.
Mum : Okay but call me. If you change your mind we need about three hours, so we can still take you home if you want.
Riley : MUM!
Mum : Okay, okay love you and be careful we come back on Monday 💋❤
Riley : Bye love you too💋❤

I put the phone back.
It was late now, my mum was always calling me to check on me since I woke up from the surgery.

My dad and her had got an offer for the company they worked in and were out of Toronto for one week.

Suddenly my mobile rang.
It was Emily.

"Hey, how are you?", she asked me.
"Good, Emily we talked in the morning remember?", I asked her laughing.
"I am always a great and kind sister and you are always complaining".
"Sorry, how are you?", I asked her laughing.

"I'm great, I hang out with some new people that I met in college.
They are really nice", she told me.
"That's cool, that you have already found friends".
"Yes, but I called for a different reason.
I have a proposition for you.
I know that you probably won't like it, but I think it would be the best for you if...

Riley didn't forgive James, what do you think?
Was she right?
Has she made the right decision?
What will happened now?
Will they ever get back together or was it the end like Riley said?

Also sorry that this chapter is so short, it's kind of a filler.
I know that it isn't the most interesting chapter, but I hope you enjoyed it nevertheless.
