The drive home from the airport was beautiful. Although he had seen it all on the way there, there was still no denying that the scenery was wonderful, especially since the sun was setting, painting wild oranges, blues, and purples on the skyline. The vacation had been pretty nice, but Leafy was ready to go back home and sleep. He knew that in the morning, (or whenever he ended up awakening) he would have to start working on a couple of videos. Ideas for videos came to his mind while he was away, so he decided he'd start with those.
Because he was tired and anxious about getting the near two hour drive out of the way, he found it hard to focus on the road, which worried him because him because he was on the freeway going 55 miles per hour. With that in mind, he took the nearest exit and, after driving around for a few minutes, managed to find a coffee shop that was miraculously still open. He grabbed a cup of coffee and resumed the drive home. The coffee definitely helped, and he was home before he knew it.
The house smelled stale, but it felt good to be home. Leafy nearly laughed at how cliche he felt when he let out a relaxed, borderline happy sigh. He set his keys and coffee cup on the table, deciding he'd get his luggage out of his car later. It could wait. It seemed anything could be put on hold with the thought of a nice, steamy shower in mind. He walked upstairs slowly and began taking off his clothes once he reached the bathroom, which was right at the top of the stairs.
It was around thirty minutes later when he got out and threw on a soft, gray robe and walked to his bedroom to find some clothes to sleep in. He pulled a wrinkled t-shirt and a pair of long johns from his dresser, setting them on the bed before turning on his computer and sitting down at the cluttered desk it was on.
He stressed about his YouTube channel the whole time he was on vacation. Even though he was only gone for three days in total, he felt like he had abandoned his channel. For some reason, he had a lot of guilt surrounding his channel, even more so when his uploads were inconsistent. Aside from that, he always seemed to come back to the fact that his entire channel is based on roasting people. He tried to make it seem better by adding the disclaimer, which was not only for the crazy people out there who have never heard of a joke, but for himself, too.
The things he said were just his opinions, and since he could not only make a living off of making videos but also enjoy doing it, he decided to go for it. There were some days when he just felt terrible about his life choices and the fact that he says these things about people. Even though he didn't have any bad intentions the time he made the video about the autistic man, he still felt like a huge piece of shit for making it. Apologizing didn't really remedy the guilt, either. The man's response video only made it worse, too, and made Leafy think back to just a few years prior when he was bullied in high school. He tried and tried to think of solutions and ways to make that man feel better, but in the end, he figured his best bet was to just own up and apologize for what he'd done.
He opened a tab and logged into Twitter so he could say hello to his followers. Whenever he went on Twitter, he always gravitated toward checking his notifications before posting a tweet. This time, he had a lot more than usual. While scrolling through, it became clear that a good number of them were linking him the same video and saying he should take a look at it. Curious, he squinted and clicked on one of the links.
