Hey guys! Sorry it has been so long. My laptop with all my writing crashed beginning of January and I just got a new one a couple days ago. Bummed me out because I had two great chapters to upload on this story and now I have to rewrite them. This one isn't very long but I wanted to give you guys something to read. Hope you like it and a longer chapter should be up next week.

Chapter 4
“What are Ryan and Reece doing down there?” I asked, looking at Teagan for answers. She just shrugged and continued making tea. I sighed and put my head back into my hands. “Did I screw up, Teag?”
I had told Teagan my plan for Ryan while the boys were moving his bags into my place. To say she was pleased was an overstatement. She had given me a stern glare and told me using people was not a nice thing to do. I knew that but if he agreed to it was it really using? There was silence for a couple minutes. I looked back up to see if she had actually heard me. That's when I noticed the intense stare she was giving me. The way she was looking at me made my skin crawl. I had been on the other side of that look multiple times. She was sizing me up. Trying to figure something out about me. More than likely my train of thought in this huge mess. I looked back at her until I couldn't take it anymore. “Well! Did I make a mistake? I mean I need him to help me, Teag. You know how those people treated me. I want nothing more then to throw all their comments back in their faces.”
She sighed and came over to sit beside me. Placing a cup of tea in front of me, she took a sip of hers before talking. “Do you still have feelings for him?”
My head jerked around to see if she was serious. The movement caused my tea to spill on my hand. Mopping at my hand and counter to clean up, I thought her question through. Should I tell her that yes I still had feelings for him. Or should I lie. I sighed and looked back at her. She'd know if I were lying. But would she tell Reece? And if she did, would he tell Ryan? So many questions were flying around my head, when I heard a soft chuckle. I looked up and saw a slight smile on Teag's face.
“Let me rephrase that,” she said, “Since we both know you still have feelings for him, are you going to act on them?” Her eyebrow quirked up and her eyes held amusement. I knew I would never be able to pull off telling her that I wouldn't act on them. I know how this works. I would end up giving in to him again. And when all was said and done, I'd be heart broken again. I let my forehead fall to the table with a groan.
I heard Teagan chuckle so I turned my head so I could look at her. The look on my face said it all because in the next second, Teagan had me wrapped up into a hug. “I'm doomed, Teag. He's like my kryptonite. I just can't resist him.”
“Then don't.” Before I could protest, she held up a hand to silence me. “Aye, I know you want to protect yourself, but you got to live too. I know he hurt you before. But I think you should let him in again. I think he might surprise you. Besides I think you two are meant to be together.” With that she took both our cups and went to rinse them out. I pondered what she had said. I knew things between Ryan and I were not great but are we meant to be together? I was cut off in my thoughts by the sound of deep laughter not far away. The guys were back and probably ready for brunch.
Reece walked in first with a smile on his face. He was really handsome when he wasn't being so serious. But I couldn't keep my eyes on him long enough to notice anything else. Ryan followed with that devil may care smile and his green eyes shinning. His eyes locked onto mine as he strolled over to lean against the table by me. “You ready to go eat?” He asked with a slight smile tilting his lips. If he only knew what hearing his voice did to me. I glanced at Teagan who was watching us and then back to Ryan. I nodded and got up.
“Yeah, I just need to run downstairs and grab my purse. I'll meet you guys in the garage.” With that I walked out of the kitchen and to the door. I didn't make it two feet out the door when I felt his arm go around my waist hauling me into his side. “You could have gone ahead.” I said slowing down so we were walking side by side. He didn't let me go but moved his arm to draping around my shoulder.
“Yeah I could have but I figured I would start our deal now. And I'm gentlemen enough to walk a lady to her door.” I snorted murmuring about not acting like a gentleman last night and looked up into his smiling eyes. “Ok, you caught me. The second you walked out of the room, those two horn dogs were at it. I swear they better make a baby soon so they have to pay attention to something else.” I laughed out loud at that.
“The rate they are working at, I'm surprised they haven't made one yet.” I said sarcastically. I know that both Reece and Teagan wanted children bad but having to deal with the process of them making one was driving me wild. I mean it might be weird to think this but listening to it is about as bad as watching porn. And there is only so much masturbating a girl could do before she wants the real thing. I opened my door and ran in to get my purse. Ryan leaned against the doorway into my condo watching me. When I had gotten my purse and slipped different shoes on, I walked back out to lock the door. Ryan watched my every move with a calculating expression.
“Yeah but once she pops the little one out, you know you'll want one too.” Ryan said smirking at me. As if I would get the chance. I knew I made some face because his smile slipped from his face. “You don't want kids?”
My head jerk at his serious tone. The expression on his face made me nervous. Like my answer was important to him. “Of course I want kids. I just... well... I kind of want to do it right and wait until I'm married. But then again to get married, I'd actually have to date and get serious. Right?” I said looking at the ground.
“Yeah that typically starts a relationship down the right path.” He said. I could see he was smirking. That annoying, cocky smirk that rubbed me wrong. “But then you wouldn't have problems getting dates, would you?”
My head snapped up to his in an instant. His tone was unnerving. So he knew I hadn't been on a date since our incident together or he was just being sarcastic. Either way, the question still struck a chord deep in me. I hadn't let myself date since I was with him. He kind of soiled me for other guys. No he hadn't been my first. But he had been my biggest heartache. I had really fallen for him in a short time.
I continued on my deep thoughts until I felt my chin being lifted. I let my eyes find his and I nearly came unwound. His smile was soft. Not the smirk he so likes to use. But just a gentle tip of his lips. And the way it made his eyes shimmer was enthralling. But I could see a hint of something darker pass through his eyes. Something my mind wouldn't let me recognize. But it passed quickly leaving those beautiful green eyes. I could just look into them forever. He looked as though he was about to say something, but luck was never on my side. I heard the elevator doors open and saw Reece and Teagan step out.
“Are you guys ready now?” Teagan said pulling a smiling Reece behind her. “I'm dying of starvation.”
Ducking my head, I took a step away from Ryan and walked toward the garage. I didn't know if I would ever find out what he was about to say. All I know is that I'm praying that I'll be able to walk away without lasting damage to my soul.
