Lizzie's POV
I talked to Tom about it being too dark to go home and he said I could stay at his and he has some girl stuff over there anyway for his ex who used to stay there sometimes. So I went in the bathroom got changed and went down stairs. Tom grabbed a blanket from the cupboard and passed it me. I had to sleep on the sofa as the spare room was being redecorated. I was fine with staying on the sofa though so he left to go to bed after saying night and giving me a hug. He was really warm.
After some time I heard some banging. I grew colder and colder by the minute. The banging got louder and louder and I squeezed my blanket harder and harder. I got scared and began to whimper. I ran upstairs and tried to find Tom. I tried all the doors and of course the last one was Toms room. He was fast asleep. How could he sleep through this? Should I wake him up? He looks so peaceful. Then I heard the noise again and without a second thought I woke up Tom. He mumbled something, but I couldn't work out what he was saying.
"Tom there are some noises downstairs and they're scaring me a little bit. Plus I'm cold." I said.
"Ok then we'll go down there and see what it is ok? I'll go down first and you follow me." He replied.
"Sure." He began to walk down the stairs and I followed him like he ordered. The noise came again and Tom jumped witch made me jump. He turned to face me and I ran back up and he too shot up the stairs frightened to death." What are we going to do now?" I asked.
"There is only one option. You're going to have to sleep in here with me." He said. I liked the sound of that.
"Ok, then. But we will be squashed won't we?" I questioned.
"I'm sure we'll fit in." Tom said smiling and once again having the love effect on me. The love effect is when someone makes your belly flip and you go all tingly inside. I smiled back and lied down besides him. I was still cold and was shivering. Tom must have noticed because he wrapped his arm around my waist and engulfed me in his warmth. I shut my eyes and drifted off to sleep in his arms.
