-2 months later-
(Avery's POV)
"I'm coming!" I yelled as I ran to the door of my apartment. I looked through the pro hole and automatically spelled with delight. I flung the door open and threw my arms around the 5'11" figure I'm front of me.
"Taylor!! Oh my god. what are you doing here!? I thought you weren't coming to visit for another 2 weeks!"
"I lied!" she yelled.
"I can see that! Come I'm!" I held the door open more and she walked into my living room area. "How we're you able to get time off so early?"
"I just wanted to come surprise you!" she said.
"Aww. You're the best," I said and hugged her again. "You hungry?" I asked as I walked into kitchen.
"Just a little thirsty," she said.
I reached into the fridge and grabbed a can. I held it up and turned back to her. "Diet Coke?"
"You know me so well," she said. she took the can from me and we sat down at the kitchen table.
"So. How's tour been?" I asked.
"Awesome. Almost every shows been sold out. The fans are incredible. Your gonna have to come some time," she told me before taking a sip of her soda.
"We'll have to set something up," I said. There was a lull in the conversation for a few minutes as Taylor and I drank our diet cokes. "So," I piped up, "have you heard anything from Harry?" I asked hesitantly.
"Not really," she said, clearly shocked at my question. She knew how much I hated Harry after what he did to her. "He apologized for breaking up with me without giving me a reason. But, we haven't really talked to each other. Why?"
"Just curious," I said. "You know I wouldn't care if he suddenly dropped off the face of the earth after what he did to you."
"You don't have to be so harsh, Avery. It's not like he cheated on me," she said.
"He was spotted with some other girl the day after he broke up with you. Does that not lead you to think that's why he broke up with you?"
"No."
"Why?"
"He told me they were just friends. And I know that, by now, if he had been dating her, he would've told me," she said.
"Fine," I said.
"You don't believe him do you?"
"Of course I don't."
"I honestly don't know why you hate in so much," Taylor said. "He's a nice guy."
"A nice guy that dates every girl he comes in contact with and broke my best friend's heart," I said.
"Come on! If I can get over my own break up, you should be able to," Taylor insisted.
"Never gonna happen."
