"Hey you ready?" Cameron asked handing me one of the suitcases.
We woke up early and had a tiny breakfast of water and bread making sure we had enough food left for the long walk ahead then pack our suitcases up, not that there was much to take. I placed the stolen wallet in the back pocket of my jeans then took the suitcase from Cameron.
"Sure lets go." I replied. I was grateful that Cameron was acting normal with me as if last night had never happened, which was totally fine with me.
"I don't wanna go!" Mazy said crossing her arms across her chest.
"Yeah I like it here, please Laila can we stay please please pretty please?" Rosy chimed in giving me her best puppy dog face.
"I'm sorry babe but we have to leave now, we cant stay here anymore." I replied taking her hand, I started walking towards the bridge with Rosy.
" Ahem, uh, Laila?" Cameron coughed. I looked at him, he was pointing at Mazy who was now sitting cross legged on the grass with her head in her hands. I sighed inwardly and let go of Rosy and the suitcase and walked towards Mazy. I crouched down next to her and pulled her hands away from her face.
"Come on babe lets go." I said softly.
" No i like it here, i don't wanna go, I wanna live here forever with you and Rosy and Cameron." She mumbled.
"We cant live here forever you know that. Come on lets go on an adventure."
"Last time you said that, Uncle Phill kidnapped me." She huffed.
I raised my eyebrow surprised that she still remembered his name.
"He is not your uncle sweety, look if he ever comes back i'll make sure he dosn't even lay a finger on you and i'll kick his ass for you yeah?"
She giggled, " umm you said a swear word."
Glad she was in a better mood I grinned at her then pulled both of us to our feet.
"Ready?" I asked her squeezing her hand.
"Lets go." She replied squeezing my hand back.
I turned to find Cameron standing behind me with Rosy on his back and a suitcase in his hand, grabbing the other suitcase me and Mazy followed his lead across the bridge and down a lane that seemed to stretch out forever.

After what seemed like an eternity of walking down a road which seemed to lead to no where, we finally turned a corner to enter a small town that looked like something out of an old history book. Ahead of us there was a small shop with broken lettering on top of it. I think it was supposed to say fish and chips. Its main window was smashed with tiny glass pieces still surrounding it so it must have been recent. On our right there was a lane of small houses squashed together and on our left there was another lane of more decent looking shops with clear lettering although there was a lot of indecent graffiti smeared on the brick walls. There was another colour that looked like a suspicious deep red, I tried not to think of it as my eyes swiveled to a dark alleyway wherein the screeching of cats could be heard. I did not like this place. At all.
"Umm! It says a very rude word on the wall! I know what it means!" Rosy said, breaking the scilence amd pointing to the wall. We looked at where she was pointing.
"How do you know what that word means?" I asked her dreading the answer.
"I heard daddy calling mummy that when mummy came home late one night." She answered, her voice cracking, shocking us by mentioning our parents, we had not spoken about them for as long as i can remember. No body said anything for a long while, we just stoods there unsure of what to do with ourselves.
"So .. .." Cameron said looking at us.
"So what?" I replied.
"so.. now what?" He asked
I stared at him unsure how to answer. How did he expect me to know what to do? He was the one who dragged us out here in the first place. Ok maybe thats not fair we had move at some point. Now what? Good question.
"Umm now i guess we look for a place to crash." I answered looking around, feeling hopeless.
"Lets go then." Cameron started moving, hesitantly towards the allyway. He coudnt be serious ... could he? I stared after him. Half of me wanted to run back to our safe feilds home and the other half wanted to lie down and start throwing a full tantrum on the floor. I resisted the urgue to throw a tantrum and walked warily towards the allyway.
"Cameron... I really dont think that is a safe place to stay." I caught up to him and whispered close to his ear not wanting my sisters to hear.
"We have no where else to go, Come on whats the worst that could happen?"
