Danny laid his head down on his desk.
Despite having 'visitors', his ghostly enemies had attacked him all night. Elsa and Jack were unable to help because... He didn't really know why. He would have to ask them later.
Perhaps it was for the better, given the way Elsa and Jack stared at his computer last night. In fact, both seemed to be in awe of it. Apparently, technology was new for them.
Elsa and Jack would easily be Tucker's favourite people.
Danny's was pulled out of his thoughts by laughter. He raised his head to see Sam, Tucker and Gregor laughing about something. I'm too tired to care right now.
The teen turned his head away and focused on getting a bit of sleep...
BRING!
Never mind, maybe I can get some sleep in free period?
The two visitors barely knew anything about this world. Neither knew what technology was. Elsa had no idea what slang was. Of course, they also didn't know anything about modern advancements, such as schools.
It didn't help that Elsa and Jack were supposed to start school today.
Why were they suppose to start school today?
Despite his best intentions, Danny felt himself entering dreamland. Tucker, who usually kept him out of dreamland, was too busy talking to Gregor about... All the stupid things Danny had ever done.
Loud laughter echoed through the classroom jolting Danny awake.
I don't know whether to Thank him or to punch him. Either way, at least I'm now awake.
Danny sighed as everyone sat down. Where Tucker and Sam use to sit were empty. His ex-friends preferred to sit by Gregor in the front now.
The teacher was just about to begin his lesson when a very loud bang was heard from the door. Everyone but Danny was startled.
Of course, Jack had to be the one to knock...
Yesterday Jack had established he was a trickster. He managed to prank Danny every chance he could. (which was quite often considering he had to constantly leave to battle ghosts )
Jack was another reason why he had gotten so very little sleep the night before.
The teacher opened the door and allowed the prankster and princess inside.
"Class a couple of new students have joined our class. You can meet them during break. " turning to the new students the teacher instructed for them to sit down and began teaching the lesson.
Only Danny wasn't surprised when the two chose the desks beside him in the back and not beside the A-listers at the front.
Elsa sat on Danny's left. Jack on his right. Danny felt himself nervously twiddling his thumbs. Would they be alright? Were they in all his classes? Would they-
Suddenly Elsa caught his eye. He found himself staring at her. Elsa turned her head and gave him a soft smile. Danny felt mesmerized in Elsa's icy blue eyes. Suddenly all his worries faded away. A calm wave took over his emotions. Everything would be okay.
Then Danny saw movement out the corner of his eyes.
Danny turned his head to face Jack.
Jack picked up a physics textbook in his hands. Where did he get that from? Much to Danny's abject horror, he took aim and threw the book.
The students, who noticed Jack's throw, watched as the book soared gracefully through the air...
And crashed into a certain goths head. The book was thrown so hard that after it made an impact on her head, her head banged on the desk.
The class sat in silence all staring in shock at Jack.
Sam got out of her desk and slowly turned so that she was facing most of the class.
"WHO THREW THAT!" Sam screeched angrily.
At that moment the bell rang.
The phrase 'saved by the bell' never sounded so right than in a moment like this. Danny thought as he grabbed his companions by their arms and pulled them out of the classroom and towards his favourite hiding spot.
So much for sleeping during free period.
LINEBREAK
"Why did you do that?" Danny hissed at Jack.
The three were in the janitor's closet by the gym. Unfortunately, this was the only place they could talk. The room was small and it stunk like cleaning chemicals and bleach.
Jack was obviously shocked at Danny's fury. "What did I do? I thought that was how you said hello to someone!"
"What made you think that?" Elsa asked softly, obviously confused.
"Because that's how Danny greeted me every time he entered back through the window last night," Jack answered.
"Because YOU iced my window sill! Don't even try to blame it on Elsa because she was sleeping the whole time Mr Frost." Danny nearly yelled.
Elsa sighed. Danny felt himself calm down as he turned to look at Elsa once more. A faint blush appeared on his cheeks and he turned once more to look at Jack.
Elsa asked the next question.
"Why would you ever think that throwing a book at someone's head would be a good form of greeting?"
"And why Sam's head?" Danny added without thinking. The two looked at him in confusion and Danny blushed in embarrassment. "I use to know her."
"Everything else in this dimension is messed up; someone can be half dead, a portal was opened to the ghost dimension, ice appearing out of nowhere! I thought that maybe that was a messed up way of greeting as well."
Of course, now I'll never make any assumptions in regards to Jack again.
Jack took a moment to breathe then continued.
"As to why her, I was actually aiming for the kid that kinda looked like your spirit form. Is he related to you or something?" Jack inquired.
"No." Danny vehemently said his eyes flashing green. "He's not related."
The tension in the air could be cut with a knife. Danny was beyond angry, but not at Jack, at Gregor and in a way, himself.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Elsa said softly.
