Kestrel PoV

Then something unexpected happens I see a red light form around me and suddenly explodes. The burst saps me of all energy and I collapse on the floor.I see scientists buzzing around me trying to figure out what happened. The ones that I blasted were freaking out. I think about the red light as I start to get up. I see everyone staring at me then I look at my hand. It's masked with this red glow. The red stuff. It's from me? I feel my self slowly weakening. This stuff takes a ton of energy. I slowly collapse...

...

I see the padded room again. When I think about it I think insane asylums have these rooms. I'm chained to the wall again but in the padded room. My hands are far apart, so far that they can't touch. I look around and decide to sit against the wall. The vibrations of people shouting 'she's awake' travel through the walls. Vibrations sending almost shock waves through me. I kinda want to try out the red thing again. I feel it throbbing inside me waiting to get out. It climbs up my hand and I spread it across the room. It looked like the taint, from my favourite Minecraft series on you-tube, except red. The further away it got the lighter it was, like the energy of a light as it spreads around.

"0855723, please go to the back wall away from the door." I pretend to faint ,which is quite easy on this padded floor, just to see how they react. The guards busted in to pick me up but I use the weird red power. This left the door open for me to go through. I feel the adrenaline pumping as I open the door to the scientists. I see them freaking out as I shock them, but before I did that I heard a stray thought. The door was locked!

I stand there stunned. Then run to the area where my sister was. Good thing I just had my fitness test because normally I would fail at this. My sister stares shocked at what I'd done. "Come on" I tell her. I use this new found power to unlock her cage door." We're getting out of here."

We scramble out of the lab me using my red magic to knock out the guards. If this is a test, I am winning. I see another door. I have managed to get the plan for this place by hacking a computer. After that I was severely punished but it was worth it, I hope. I see Raven slowing down. I was tired too but I kept on going. "Come on Raven we have to go!"

"But what if we get punished for doing this!" I can tell that she is quivering in fear. "What if we could no longer have to go through the pain of this place."

"I know but what if we get brought back in."

"Well then we'll savour the time we had free." I see she has given and starts running again. I see the exit door. All the doors to the 'subjects' are vacuum sealed so if there's a fire or gas leak they seal the rooms. They also have oxygen tanks for 3 weeks, and food for 8 weeks in each area. I see the exit now. The long staircase looms before us. We climb higher than we've probably ever known. Then there's iron above our head, just like I saw on the map. We move right then left then right again. There's the door. Our escape. But I don't know the passcode. There it is. The final thing blocking us. Making this just out of our reach.

Raven walks up to it and puts a hand on our final escape." The passcode is 0855723. Are you really that important to them?"

"I guess I... Am? But right now we need to get out!"
I see her typing the code into the machine as we make our break out. Was I really that special to them, or was this another experiment? Ugh I'm probably thinking to much. I see my sister waving at me and notice I've been standing still.
"Come on let's go I'm freezing!" She says.

"OK coming" and now we're off on our own, without them we think...
