Chapter Nine: Finally!

|~Amber's POV~|

"You're cute," Louis whispered into Lana's hair. "You're beautiful."

Lana's face was so happy. I've never seen her happier. I gazed wistfully at the happy couple. Why couldn't that be me and Zayn?

Liam and Danielle, Louis and Lana, Harry and Caroline Flack...oh gosh...me and Zayn are the only ones. Except for Niall. And I think he has a shot at Janet Devlin.

"Hey," a voice said in my ear. "You okay?"

"Yeah," I sighed, knowing it was Zayn. "I'm fine."

"Want to grab a bite? The others are busy."

"Where?" I asked.

"Nando's. It'll remind us of Niall. Besides, the tour bus has stopped. We're meant to be rehearsing for our first gig."

"Okay," I said. "Can I just throw on-"

"No." Zayn interrupted. "You look beautiful."

I blushed heavily. "Thanks."

"Guys!" Zayn called. "Amber and I are going to Nando's! See you later!"

There was choruses of, "Ohhh! Zayn's getting it!" and "Yeah buddy!" and "That's my man!" I felt like punching them.

"Take an umbrella!" Louis warned. We snorted. The sky was flipping blue!

"Don't say he didn't warn you!" called Lana. Zayn smirked and grabbed my hand.

"Something's gotta give now,

Cause I'm dying just to make you see,

That I need you here with me now.

Cause you've got that One Thing." Zayn was humming his part of One Thing beautifully. I was falling head over bloody heels for him.

|~Louis' POV~|

I couldn't stop the smile on my face as Lana rested her head on my chest.

"You really like me, huh?" I teased.

"No, I like the smell of Hollister," She said back.

"Riiight," I smirked. I kissed the top of her head. Her hair smelt like coconuts. And carrots.

"I hope Niall moved on," She said honestly. "It's been a week."

"I'll fix him up with Janet Devlin," I dismissed. "Niall's a good guy. Which reminds me, I have to take you on that first date."

"No, I don't wanna," Lana moaned. I was filled with panic.

"You - but - how - why -" I stuttered. She laughed, patting my head.

"Chill, babe. I meant first dates are sappy. Second dates are better."

"Oh," I chuckled. "Well, we have to go on a first date sometime."

"Not if we call this our first date..." Lana pondered. I looked down at her head on my chest, my hands around her waist and leftover carrots on a plate beside us. I shrugged. Would be a cool date to me.
