Please if you do not like something comment it, the characters looks will be up to your imaginations all I did is find pictures for their forms and witches have owl forms in this book. The Picture above is of Niravitch the witch castle, but without the lightning and all that. This is not one of those books where the female is abused or she is broken.

Before:

~Kiroda Vanarra.~

Kiroda Vanarra was born a low peasant witch, this ment she was powerless. Wouldn't this make her a human? Not quite, these witches are born with a birthmark in the middle of their chest that not only shows they are a low which but binds them to a master. Now peasant witches are not to common and are not treated worthless, they are actually paid by their master fairly. When a low witch finds their mate at the age of twenty they are released from their bond and can live a good life with their mate. Low peasant witches are given away at the age of eight to their master who takes care of them for two years to help them get situated into their household and to learn the rules. When they are ten, they start to clean and learn to do more chores along the way. When a witch reaches eighteen they are given the opportunity to become a high servant witch, which means if their master deems them as loyal, trustworthy, and respectful they can be transfered to a new master, the Queen. Working there they are payed a very high amount and it gives them more of an opportunity to find their mate as the Queen chooses some to accompany her on trips.

Knowing this Kiroda has always had her sights set on being a high servant. She set high expectations for herself. Kirodas master, Alfred payed her more then average but never really payed any mind to Kiroda. In fact he was always out doing business and only had simple conversations with her. This only made Kiroda feel as though what she does wasn't good enough.

Determined, Kiroda did more, cleaned every spec on the floor, dusted every book on the shelf and even organized them by taking note on how Mr. Alfred liked them. But with everything she did, he still did not see her worth. The only thing he changed was her wage, don't get her wrong she appreciated it but it would be better if he would acknowledge her work with words.
One day while her master was out like usual. Kiroda was dusting the top inside of a cupboard when she observed that the back board moved slightly revealing a crimson red glow.

She put down her duster and got back up on the stool examining the glow coming from the crack made from the movement. She creeped her hands in the cupboard and grabbed the board and put it on the wooden counter. When Kiroda looked back up, she fell into a kind of hypnoses. There in the back stood a liquid potion that radiated power and moved like lava.

When Kiroda finally snapped out of her gaze she got down deciding on what she should do. Should she put the board back up and act like she had never seen it? Or ask the master what it is? Curiosity got the best of her and she walked over to a drawer to grab her mits just to be careful. She got back up and cautiously picked the vile up and placed it on the counter.

Power still radiating from the vile but something inside of Kiroda felt pulled to it. Questions spiraled through her mind such as, "Why would such a powerful vial be kept hidden", or "Was it even her masters?". But the most prominent question was, " Could it be powerful enough to give me powers?" Kiroda felt the need to drink the substance, slightly touching the vial to make sure it did not burn her, she picked it up and off of the counter tilting it slightly as she brought it closer to her mouth. Like they say, curiosity kills the cat. The liquid went down her throat like boiling water. But she only realized this when all of it had already went down her throat. Kiroda had forgotten to think of the consequences of what the potion could do and was to driven by the thought of having powers to think any more.
