She put the books back in their stack, blew out her candle and put on her thin boots. The soles were beginning to wear so she needed to make more soon. It would be hard work. She tied up her hair with a make-shift cotton tie, and threw on an ill fitting cardigan. Then she headed out the door.
She hadn't walked far before she spotted a wolf cub in the brush. It made its way alone through the bushes. Preia started towards it uneasily. She walked sideways trying to avoid any sudden pounces. It ran up to Preia knocking her down and barked playfully. The cub was a girl. The cub panted and twitched her ear. Preia smiled and got up, she picked her up and brought it to her home. She gave it a bowl of leftover orange stew, and some water. The wolf could use the food to grow strong and healthy. As Preia fed her she decided to call the wolf, Safhara. Preia's reason for calling the cub Safhara was merely because she thought it fit nicely. Preia sat next to Safhara criss-crossed arms folded on the wooden floor, and pet her as she ate. Safhara turned around for a brief second to sniff Preia's hand, but quickly went back to eating.
TumbleWorth came in and the cub jumped to attack. It has only been a few minutes and the little wolf already thinks this is her territory. Then Preia pried Safhara off of TumbleWorth's shoe.
"BAD SAFHARA!! NO NO!" Preia scolded. Then she play hit the side of Safhara's head and put her back on the ground.
"I see you've made a friend." Said TumbleWorth as he knelt down and gazed at Safhara.
"Yes, I found her this morning as I was walking to town." She explained while admiring Safhara for her loyal-ness and obedience.
