Chapter Seven:                                                                                                                                                      They soon surpassed Preia's home and were set and on their way, on an unsure journey through town, walking aimlessly across an old, dingy, and unmaintained road. He walked fast, and Safhara kept up well. Being the cub she was, eagerness got the best of her and she soon left her pack to sniff out a meal. She was soon shooed away by the stand-owners and then trotted back to Casper, making sure he was unaware of her unsuccess to scavenge a few rations. He noticed of course. Meanwhile, as the two maintained a steady pace, poor Preia remained far behind, unable to keep up with the rest- beacause the road was under no maintenance, and the lack of coordination in her legs and ankles. She repeatedly and constantly trippd along the way. However within seconds of getting back up, the crew (that consisted of Safhara and Casper), was already way ahead of her. She raced toward them, and as soon as she caught momentum, her once steady coordination and careful foot position was lost and again, and she tripped over a crack in the road. She worried that she was seen only as a burden, but he was only here for her right? Maybe not, she followed him, but he asked her, and she simply replied, "yes." It was still a kind of blur for her right now, maybe he was trying to manipulate her. He definately knew she wasn't fully recovered, and she was still a little tired, of that she was completely sure. But what could he get out of manipulating her? Why had he helped her, no one seemed to have enough compassion and willingness to at least give up one trillionth.. Even less than a trillionth of their infinate lifetime for her... For anyone really. She was almost certain that there was a clear reason why he was with her, she couldn't of been sure in the state she was in at that time, her head hurt from all of the times she'd fallen, and it was only an hour since she got up from her long days of unconsciousness.
