What If?

As we got through mines and Ciel's depressing past of life we started to joke around and play chess. He surprisingly is very good but I am sure of it that I am going to beat him. "Ciel, I signed up for a chess tournament once" I told him and in return he smirked, "did you lose?" He asked, knowing I did. "Shut it Ciel!" I yelled while throwing a pawn at him. "Can I ask you something?" I asked him and he looked up looking annoyed, "(Y/n) you already did." He looked at me boredly and I was speechless and dumbfound, "Jerk!" I left the table and he laughed following behind me. "I was kidding!! What would you like to ask me?" He smiled sweetly. I tried to pretend I was mad but I couldn't stay angry at him. He was too cute!!

"What if.. your parents were still out there alive?" I asked, "What?" He questioned. "I said-" I was about to repeat myself but he elbowed me. "I heard what you said! I just never thought og that" He told me honestly. "And even if I did I wouldn't know. What's the point having parents?" He chuckled and I gaped at him. "Ciel Phantomhive! Parents may be annoying and so one but they show us care and affection and get us things we need when we can't get it ourselves!" I scolded at him like a parent myself in return he just sighed and looked at me like I was the most annoying person on earth.

"Yeah but we can get it ourselves now can't we?"

"Well yes! But-"

"And kids our age are getting into relationships aren't they?"

"Uhm yeah, but-"

"But nothing just face it (Y/n). We technically don't need them. Not even for moral support because that's what friends are for." He had that winning smirk, but I knew  could challenge him in a bunch of things and beat him in it. He's small so meh.

"And what if your single? Don't have friends because they all turned their backs on you? Hmmm?" I hummed in his face knowing that will upset him. "You're stupid you know that?" He asked me arching his eyebrow. "Why yes, but you love me" I smiled cheekily, using the comebacks that me and my best friend Rosie use on one another which seemed fine to him since he waved me off. "Whatever." He smiled back at me.
