There is a longstanding debate by celebs, fans and authors alike on which is better? The Harry Potter Series, or the Twilight Saga? This book I have decided to right is a collection of reasons why the Harry Potter Series is better than Twilight. Whi...
Sorry guys, not another chapter. But I just found out something so sad. By the way I did not figure this out, I found it online when looking for Snily pics.
In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Severus Snape asks Harry, and I quote: "Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?"
And here dear readers is the sad part.
According to the Victorian Language of Flowers, asphodel is a type of Lily and asphodel itself means 'My regrets follow you to the grave.' And wormwood means 'absence,' and it also typically symbolizes bitter sorrow.
If you combine this together, it means I bitterly regret Lily's death.
These were some the very first words that Severus spoke to Harry. How sad is that? I actually kinda weird that Hermione of Neville didn't figure it out. I mean with Hermione's intelligence, or Neville's knowledge of plants. However if they did, I doubt they would have remembered Snape saying that or even realising the symbolism and/or importance of this statement.
But still, how sad is that. My heart broke a little when I read that. I just wish that Severus could have gotton over his Slytherin pride and apologized to Lily, maybe they could have had a better future, and Snape wouldn't have had such a sad, bitter future.
To me Severus will always be a hero, he was the man who constantly risked his life and saved other people, and yet no one bothered to save him.
The actors we love and the stories they tell, live in us forever. ~My spin off of one of J.K. Rowling's own quotes.
Alan Rickman once that when he was 80 his grandchildren would come out onto the porch sit in front of him and say, "all this time?" and he would say, "always." He passed away at age 69.
All Potterheads, raise your wand to the sky and light the tip, for Alan Rickman, an amazing man and a brilliant actor.
May you forever rest in peace.

Tribute to Severus Snape "The Bravest Man I ever knew."
I would have one to Alan Rickman as well, but I was not able to find any I thought good enough. I was able to find this though.
