What She Teaches

In Harry Potter, Hermione taught me so much. When I'm an adult I'll read my children the Harry Potter Series because of this.

Hermione Granger taught me to be brave, that I can rescue myself and to be independent. She showed me that I'm more than what people say I am, that I can write my own story. She showed me that I can make things happen that i can achieve amazing things.

She taught me that I don't have to be some princess in a tower, some helpless damsel in distress just because I'm female. She taught me that I can be a warrior.

Isabella Swan taught me nothing, she tried and failed. Her lesson, (and a shitty one at that), was to fit in and be some "lovestruck" (she was in her teens how does she know what love is), she tried to teach me that I can't be someone without a man.

But not only this, but Hermione was written with so much passion and character. She can cries but loves and detests, she is brave and independent. And that's what I love about her, her passion, her character, that fire  heart she posseses that most characters need to be so good. J.K. Rowling has ensured these things in all her characters and stories that she has created.

I got up and left I the first five minutes of Twighlight the story is dull, flimsy and lacks that passion that stories need. Ones that great stories like Harry Potter, House of Secrets, Skulduggery Pleasant and Percy Jackson all seem to possess. They are amazing best sellers.

Twighlight came to Stephanie Meyer in a dream, *cough, nightmare, cough* and I think that if the plot line had not as been as ridiculous and dull, and the characters had more definition and passion, it could have been a great story. I honestly think that it would have been better.
