'10 Days//A.I.' (SAMPLE)

Taken from the first chapter:

We laid down to sleep about three hours ago, but I still haven't slept.

I sighed, which apparently caught Ashton's attention.

I didn't even know he was awake..

"You okay?" he asks, turning his body to face mine.

My eyes wander his face, as much as they can in the dark.

"Just worried. scared. What is my family thinking right now? They're probably worried sick out of their minds."

I feel the tears burning in my eyes, but this time I don't hold them back. I feel them pierce across my skin as they fall.

my voice becomes shaky as I talk.

"How will we ever do this, Ash?"

"Kins.." he sighs. "I can't promise you we'll make it. But I can promise you that I will guard you with my life, that I will try my absolute hardest to keep the two of us alive. You have my word."

His words made my cheeks heat up, and I felt a smile itching it's way up my face.

"Thanks Ash. For everything. I wouldn't be here right now if it weren't for you." I sniffle.

"Let's not talk about that. Let's just hope and pray for tomorrow. Get some rest Kins. Tomorrow's gonna be a hell of a ride."

"You got that right." I whisper, starting to feel my eyes shutting.

Before I fall asleep, I feel Ashton wipe my remaining tears with the palm of his hand, scooting closer and placing a kiss on my forehead, whispering,

"I promise."

"I guess sometimes we find ourselves in situations that we're not supposed to get out of." he winked at me.

Hey guys, it's been a while. just wanted to let you know I've finished my Calum book, and I'm now starting my Ashton book. The first chapter is already up! I have a lot planned for this book and I've been waiting to write this for a while now, so I've got pretty high expectations for it so let's make '10 Days' as popular as this book, shall we? 😉
