House’s POV

I growled as laid on my bed staring at the ceiling, “why does Wilson have to get a backbone NOW!?” I shouted to no one in particular. I grabbed the stupid cane this place had given me upon arrival and made my way to my Therapist’s office. I walked in without knocking, pretty pissed off and just sat down. He glanced at me from his desk, “I assume you want to talk?” “No I wanted to go to Disney Land” I said annoyed, he showed no emotion as he walked over and sat across from me. “Alright what’s on you’re mind today, House?” “Let’s see… my best friend finally decided to grow some balls and threaten the girl I like that if she comes and see’s me here then he’ll get her suspended and nagged at by my PMSing boss” I ranted angrily. He smirked at me I glared at him.

“So let me get this right… Wilson threatened Amanda that if she comes and sees then he’ll tell Cuddy which will in return get her nagged at and suspended?” he repeated and it just hurt to hear it repeated back but I nodded. “Well maybe this is a sign that you need to get you’re act together” “are you kidding me? I’ve been doing well! I’ve been getting along with those retards and taking those stupid drugs you give, I’ve even shared some at Group Therapy!” I yelled at him, he went back to showing no emotion on his face.

“Yes that’s true… but are you going to keep this lifestyle up after you leave here?” I thought for a moment and looked away from him and nodded “I think I can… I’ve detoxed enough and I’m not really appealed to drugs after the crap you’ve given me” he smirked again. “Well then maybe if you keep this up, and keep to you’re word then maybe you’ll be out of here sooner” he smiled, I gave a half smile as I sat there for a few minutes thinking then got up and left without a word.

Normal POV

I sighed as we sat around the table trying to figure out what to do, with House gone there hasn’t been a lot of cases and we don’t have a lot of Clinic Duty to do… I mean we could always go help out in the ER but we just didn’t feel like it. “So… is this what it’s going to be like with no House around?” Chase asked to nobody in particular, “I guess so” Cameron sighed, Foreman drummed his fingers against the tables “c’mon guys this should be fun, there’s no House to criticize our work or rant to us or make fun of us. Hell let’s go through his desk and see what’s in there” Foreman suggested, “coming from the guy who breaks into patient’s houses” I said, he looked at me and gave me a look “that wasn’t raciest” Chase said sarcastically, “it’s because I’m black isn’t it” Foreman retorted, “no!” I said sarcastically smirking Cameron rolled her eyes.

Then Wilson walked in, “wow it’s dead in here without House yelling and making rude remarks” he smirked trying to be funny; I just rolled my eyes playfully at him. “Ready to go Amanda?” he asked, I nodded as I stood up and grabbed my stuff “wait where are you guys going?” Chase called after us, “out to dinner!” I yelled back as we walked out.

Yeah, Wilson decided to make it up to me by taking me out to dinner. We didn’t go anywhere fancy just to an Applebees. We laughed and remembered the old times; Wilson would spill stuff about House and then we’ll laugh about it. Suddenly my phone started to ring, I looked at the ID “sorry I have to take this, I’ll be right back though” he just smiled at me, “it’s okay go ahead” I smiled back as I walked outside and took the call.

“House I can’t really talk right now” “why not? Are you on a date?” he said sarcastically, I smirked “no, I’m not. Wilson and I are having dinner is all” I heard him growl, “why are you eating dinner with the bastard that threatened to suspend you!” “Because we’re still friends!” “I thought you said he’s changed!” “H-he did but I snapped some sense into him this morning” “this morning!?” “Yes House he came to wake me up for work” I heard him sigh “whatever…” “What the hell were you calling me for anyway?” I asked. “I just wanted to hear you’re voice” I grinned “that was too corny even for you” I imagined he smiled “shut up, I can’t help it, it’s these drugs they put me on” I chuckled dryly “I’ll call you when I get home, alright?” He sighed but he probably held a smile “all right, bye” “bye” I hung up, and smiled to myself as I put my phone in my pocket and walked back inside to Wilson.
