___________________Delia's POV:
I could hear Cole coming up the stairs after me. I stalked into the kitchen, opening the fridge when I felt his arm around my waist, pulling me away from it. I frowned softly as I let him. His hands gently grabbed my waist, setting me up on the counter. I looked down at him a little sadly. He frowned up at me as he rested his hands on either side of my body.
"Does he really think its that bad of an idea that either one of us thinks about marriage? Like I'm fully ready to move to Vancouver if you get this part and you haven't even auditioned for it," I whispered to him. I was still frowning deeply as I reached up to play with my nose ring out of nervous habit.
"Delia, he actually looked relieved when I told him that we weren't actually engaged, despite that super awesome pictures on twitter with your ring on your hand. Everyone else fully believes it for the most part and I don't blame them. If I'm not with you I'm either thinking about you or doing something for you. Us getting married eventually isn't what scared him. I'm pretty sure he's developing a secondary rebound crush on you and that's what made him so ugly about it," he whispered up to me. He reached up, gently pulling my hand away from my nose ring. "If you keep doing that, it's going to get infected."
I simply frowned at him before letting my hands sit in my lap, looking down at the small space between us. He already seemed far away from me, and as cute as Dylan was, I wouldn't deny that aesthetic pleasure that he was, I definitely enjoyed Cole more than I enjoyed my favorite book in isolation. That was a hard task to accomplish. I had just admitted that I loved Cole more than a piece of my soul even though Cole at this point was the other half of my soul. One of Cole's hands gently tugged my chin, forcing me to look at him.
"If you want to wear the ring you can, but in not going to tell you that you have to wear it or not wear it. You can even wear it on your right hand for the next few years until we can actually get our lives under control and settle down and I can officially ask you to be my wife. How's that sound?" I nodded slowly, still completely unsure if Cole and I would even get married. Vancouver was too far away and I was too self conscious and unknowing of my own being to see two years into the future. He leaned up, gently pressing his lips to mine for a moment before sliding the ring into the center of my palm. I wrapped my fingers around it, unsure of what I wanted yet again.
"Hey, Cole?" He hummed in response as I looked down at my closed hand. "I know you're really weird about me hanging out with Dylan but Nova still has some of his things and I need to take him to go get them from her in an neutral area." Cole shrugged slightly before pressing his lips to my nose.
"Babygirl, you can do whatever you want. You've said it yourself that I have no reason to be scared of Dylan when he's around you and I believe you on that." I couldn't help but smile softly at his words as I looked over this face. I reached up slowly, tenderly pressing my lips to his. He didn't pull away. Instead Cole slid his arm around my middle, pulling my body towards him. I leaned into his chest as I slid my hands over his shoulders. I wanted nothing more than to be near Cole at this very moment. The only thing that stopped me was the sound of fake gagging in the background. Cole pulled away with an eye roll.
"Are you done? I'm trying to make out with my wife." I couldn't help but smile at the last word as I glanced at Dylan over Cole's shoulder. Dylan looked momentarily disgusted.
"Oh. Excuse me. I was going to ask what you wanted from the Chinese place but it's apparently just each other's spit," Dylan retorted with a large drip of sarcasm. I smirked at Dylan as I slid my hand to the back of Cole's neck. Honestly, in my opinion, Dylan asked for it. I pulled Cole's lips back to mine with a soft smile. His large hand slid over my side while Dylan attempted to throw the Cheetos in his hand in between us.
