_______________________Cole's POV:
I wasn't sure what had been said between the two of them, but they certainly didn't act like they had last night. Mom was pouring her another glass of wine as Delia picking up the puppy in her lap, holding him up to her face. Nova was practically sitting in Dylan's lap. Mom looked at them a little disapproving. Dylan knew that Mom wasn't very fond of Nova. Nova swore left and right in front of Mom and blatantly told her something that made her look like the stupidest person on the planet. Nova wasn't honestly that bright of a person. She was sweet, sure, but Nova was so stupid that it was hard to have a conversation with her sometimes. I wasn't sure how Delia dealt with her as a roommate previously, but I was glad she did. I wouldn't have her otherwise.
Nova sat in Dylan's lap, playing with his hair. Delia was sitting on the floor next to me with the puppy, her back resting against the bottom of the couch as she pulled a sock that he had managed to find.
"You're not keeping my dog, Cole," Dylan said firmly over Nova's slight whining of wanting to go home a little early because she was feeling 'light headed'. Nova had drunk half a bottle of wine by herself. Delia was tame compared to her. Mom and I had taken a bet previously that Nova and Dylan wouldn't be together longer than six months, maximum. So far it was working in my benefit. Unfortunately, Dylan would be moving back in. That would get awkward for me and Delia. I quiet enjoyed being alone with her all the time.
"What if I buy him from you, Dill Pickle?" Delia said with a soft smile. Cookie tried to crawl up her chest and over her shoulder onto the couch. Her hand stayed firmly on his back like a precautionary mother as Dylan rolled his eyes at her pet name for him before answering.
"Nothing can pay for my love, Delia. Nova even knows that," Dylan smirked down at her while Nova pouted in his lap. There was an unnerved feeling between the two of them that was almost haunting. Something between them held an awkward tension. I slid my arm around Delia's shoulder, pulling her closer to me. Delia laid her head on my shoulder as she put the puppy back on the floor.
"Dylan-" Mom said in what was almost a warning voice. Dylan looked up at Nova out of the corner of his eye. Nova got out of his lap, almost moping towards the kitchen for another glass of wine. Mom didn't even look at her as she got up. Dylan leaned forward, setting his elbows on his knees, burying his face in his hands. I heard the backdoor shut, meaning that Nova has went outside. This was a low level of upset for Nova. She quite enjoyed her dramatics.
"Mom," Dylan's voice cracked slightly. His fingers were tangled in his dirty blond hair. "She's pregnant and she's not even sure it's mine."

Delia's POV:I watched Cole's and Melanie's eyes grow wider in the last half a second that I have ever seen anyone's eyes grow possibly in my entire life. Melanie glanced at me and I held my hands up slightly to tell her that there wasn't going to be any drama from me. I pulled away from Cole to crawl onto the couch next to Dylan. I slowly slid my arms around his shoulder, burying my face in his neck.
"You can always leave her. You will always have a place with us, Dylan. I can promise that," I whispered to him. "My main concern is why she drank anything if she even thought she was pregnant."
"She knows she's pregnant. She sent me a picture of the ultrasound. There's an actual baby and she still does it. I've taken two bottles from her already. I don't even care that it's not mine, but why would she do that to the poor kid? I should at least be able to go to appointments with her and give her what she needs. She never tells me an actual date for appointments and I'm just," Dylan's voice cracked again as I held him even tighter. He pulled his phone out to show me the ultrasound photo. It was no smaller than a bean, but something was off to me. There wasn't a name or date on the photo like most ultrasounds had. I had spent enough time with my mom before she passed looking at all of mine and my siblings ultrasounds. I enjoyed looking at them, knowing there was a time when all five boys weren't able to talk or even look at me. I took the phone from him, staring at the picture, tempted to do a reverse google search. I sent the photo to myself before doing the reverse search on my own phone. I stayed quiet to stop from making Dylan hurt even more.
