Cynder opened her eyes to the darkness once again. She sighed. This was not the place she hoped to be.

She stood up and waited for the voice to come, perhaps it would be the same like last time?

Time passed. No voice.

She didn't see any light around her as well, now she was getting worried but not too much.

She heard a scream. She turned around like a flash but saw nothing or no one. She kept alert. Something wasn't right.

"Missed me?"

Cynder turned her head slowly, looking up at herself once again. The Cynder she was looking at was the same dark Cynder she saw in her last nightmare.

Cynder snorted, "Not really."

Sadness welled up in dark Cynder's eyes, "Thats a shame. I had really missed you." She gave a fake pout, then started to laugh.

Cynder growled. How could she have been like this once? She was so glad she was nothing like that now.

After Dark Cynder had stopped laughing she glared at Cynder, sneering, "I will always be a part of you Cynder. You can't run away from yourself."

"You were the creation of Malefor's powers! You. Are. Not. ME!" Cynder yelled, filling up with so much rage she felt like she would explode.

Dark Cynder just smiled and laughed at her. Cynder had enough. She strikes forward with her talons but her claws went straight through her, Dark Cynder vanishing.

"You can't harm me Cynder," Cynder bolted around to see Dark Cynder glaring at her, "If you want to hurt me then start by hurting yourself!"

This confused Cynder. Hurting myself?

As if reading her thoughts, Dark Cynder scratched her own left shoulder with her talon.

Suddenly, pain rushed through Cynder and she screamed, unexpected. She looked to her left to see a deep gash down her shoulder. Cynder was so confused. How did that happen? Dark Cynder had scratched herself not her!

"You see? I will always be a part of you. You can't escape who you are. He will return Cynder." Dark Cynder hissed.

Cynder met Dark Cynder's gaze with her own, "He?" She gasped. Surely she couldn't mean...

Before she could finish that thought she was cut off by Dark Cynder's laughing. Suddenly the ground seemed to open up and swallowed her whole.

Cynder woke up screaming. She jumped to her feet, and looked around to see she was back in her room.

"Cynder what's wrong!?" She heard Spyro's voice and suddenly saw him jump up to his feet to meet her gaze.

Cynder panted, not sure what she should say.

"Take a deep breath Cynder." Spyro instructed her. Cynder obeyed and started to take deep breaths, calming down from her shock.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door, both dragons looked in its direction and heard Volteer's voice, "Is everything ok? We heard screaming! May we come in?"

Spyro looked at Cynder, as if asking for her permission. Cynder nodded to him, then he jumped off the bed and walked towards the door and opened it.

Cynder saw the three guardians at the door, and Spyro backed away so they could come in. Cynder didn't see Coral at all, and looked toward the door wondering if she was out there.
